Frustrated by the lack of convenient and healthy foods offered in vending
machines, April recognized a great business opportunity and founded Lean Machines
Healthy Vending Service Inc. The machines are stocked with healthy snacks and beverages from soy milk to dried nuts; much healthier choices than the usual chips and chocolate bars. All of the snacks offered are defined as having either “maximum” or “moderate” nutritional value in accordance to the Food & Nutritional Policy. Lean Machines can be found across Canada in the following locations: junior and senior high schools, secondary education locations, health care, fitness centers, malls, and airports.
