A different look @onereachinghand …. . . . A speaking opportunity for @amylynnhowson in Stoke-On-Trent, UK with @extremeuk_official @whatisyourobjective about her journey of finding #calling and #purpose in music and nursing…one step at a time. . . . While this conference was not focused on music in hospitals, the time spent talking with musicians seeking meaning in their music led to meaningful conversations. @_amyclayton for example, who shares her beautiful gift of song in care settings! . . . A review of the pictures from yesterday’s culminating community event, “Rock the Block”, revealed one beautiful reality: many hands reaching. Children dancing, reaching out to the musicians, hoping to be seen and acknowledged. Those on stage reaching right back to a younger generation who are desperate to be seen and acknowledged, sharing songs of hope and letting them know they are not alone. . . . One Reaching Hand is about bringing music into care spaces, yes, but we’ve taken a new perspective after this weekend and we’re zooming out a bit - because maybe the “care setting” this time was an old victorian park in Burslem, UK at a community block party. Music was the connector, letting both attendees and musicians know - there is One Reaching Hand that will never let them go! #youarenotalone #community #music
