Tarot Card of the Day: Four of Cups
What if the thing you keep asking for has already shown up, just wearing different clothes than you expected?
That’s the Four of Cups today.
We can get so attached to what we think an answer should look like that we completely miss the answer itself. We ask for more love, but overlook the person who consistently shows up. We ask for opportunity, but dismiss the small opening because it doesn’t look important enough. We ask for change, then hesitate when life gives us something unfamiliar.
Sometimes we’re not waiting for the Universe.
The Universe is waiting for us to notice.
Today, look again at something you’ve already dismissed, overlooked or taken for granted. There may be more sitting in front of you than you realize.
Not every gift arrives looking like a gift.

We’re pretty good at appreciating the big things. It’s the ordinary things we tend to miss.
We say we’re grateful for our family, our home, our health, our life. And we mean it. But gratitude can become something we say without really stopping long enough to feel what those words actually contain.
Because “I’m grateful for my family” is a sentence.
Hearing someone you love laughing from another room is a feeling.
Your dog acting like you’ve returned from a three-year expedition because you went out for twenty minutes. Someone knowing exactly how you take your coffee. Having a person you can call when something happens and you just need to tell somebody. Waking up and realizing there’s nowhere you’d rather be than right where you are.
Those tiny, ordinary pieces of life are where gratitude becomes real.
And this is where gratitude and manifestation meet.
We tend to think manifestation starts with wanting something. We decide what we want, picture it, ask for it and wait for it to arrive.
But I think some of our strongest manifesting happens in the moments when we aren’t asking for anything at all.
It happens when you look around your life and genuinely feel, “I have so much to be grateful for.”
Not because everything is perfect. Not because you have everything you could ever want. But because for that moment, you’re not living from a feeling of lack. You’re feeling love, abundance, joy, connection or peace right now.
And whenever you truly feel grateful, you’re already manifesting.
You’re experiencing the feeling you thought you needed the next thing to give you.
That’s powerful.
Think about how much of your life today was once something you wanted.
A relationship you once hoped for. A friendship you didn’t have yet. A place you wanted to call home. Something you worked hard to achieve. A problem you desperately wanted to get through. A version of yourself you weren’t sure you would ever become.
Some of your manifestations may have arrived so quietly that you stopped recognizing them as manifestations at all. They simply became your normal.
Gratitude brings you back to them.
And when you genuinely feel grateful for what is already here, you’re telling the Universe, “Yes. This. I recognize this. I appreciate this. I’m open to more of what feels like this.”
That’s why gratitude and manifestation belong together.
Gratitude isn’t something you practice so the Universe will reward you with more. It isn’t a transaction.
It’s the moment you stop feeling as though your life will finally be good when something else arrives and recognize that there is already goodness here.
And from that place, you’re already creating more of what you want.
So today, don’t just say you’re grateful.
Find one ordinary thing in your life that you would miss terribly if it disappeared tomorrow.
Stop long enough to really feel what it means to have it today.
Because in that moment of genuine gratitude, you aren’t waiting for manifestation to begin.
It already has.

If you were in Heaven, about to be born on Earth, and your higher self could choose the life that would give your soul the greatest opportunity to grow, what would you choose?
Probably not perfection. What could perfection possibly teach you?
Would you choose to have very little so you could understand what truly has value? Would you choose a body that gets sick, ages or limits you so you could learn that you are more than the body carrying you through this life? Would you choose to love someone with your whole heart knowing that eventually one of you would have to say goodbye?
Would you choose betrayal and discover whether you could love again without becoming bitter? Would you choose to hurt someone yourself so you could experience remorse, accountability and forgiveness from the other side?
Would you choose to be misunderstood? To fail spectacularly? To have everything you believed challenged? Would you choose power so you could find out what you would do when nobody could stop you? Would you choose moments when doing the right thing actually cost you something?
And would your soul choose joy too? Absolutely. Love. Friendship. Music. Animals. S*x. Laughter that makes your stomach hurt. Helping someone simply because you can. Ordinary mornings when being alive feels like enough.
Imagine your higher self looking at all those possibilities before you arrived here, not asking, “Which life will hurt the least?” but, “Which life will give me the greatest opportunity to love, experience, understand and grow?”
Maybe that’s why our souls don’t choose lives based on what our human selves would choose. The human in us wants comfort, certainty, fairness and control. The soul is looking at the whole journey.
It sees the heartbreak and the love that makes the heartbreak possible. The failures and who we become getting back up. The people who wound us and the people who put us back together. The mistakes, the joy, the grief, the courage, the ordinary days and the moments that change us forever.
So when life asks something enormous of you, maybe your soul isn’t somewhere above you wondering how you’ll possibly survive it.
Maybe it already knew you could.
Maybe that’s exactly why it chose this life.
Not because you deserved the difficult parts. Not because suffering earns you anything. But because your soul saw every possible version of who you could become here and said:
“That one. That life. There is so much I can become there.”
And then you came.

Tarot Card of the Day: Nine of Pentacles 🌿
You’re allowed to enjoy what you’ve already built.
We’re strangely good at moving the finish line. Get through one problem and immediately find another. Reach a goal and start thinking about the next one. Improve something and notice the one part that still isn’t right.
The Nine of Pentacles says enough of that for today.
Look around at something in your life that exists because of you. Something you worked for, learned, survived, created, repaired or patiently built over time. Maybe nobody applauded. Maybe you didn’t even notice when it finally became something you once wished for.
Today isn’t about chasing the next thing.
Take a minute and actually stand inside something you’ve already accomplished.
You earned the view.

Today’s Affirmation
I refuse to live as though my life is still waiting to begin.
How much of our lives do we spend waiting for something to change before we really let ourselves live? When things settle down. When we have more money. When we feel better. When we have more time. When the problem is finally solved. When life looks a little more like we thought it would.
Meanwhile, this is life. This ordinary Tuesday. This body. This home. These people. This imperfect, unfinished version of everything.
I don’t want to keep looking toward some future version of my life and miss the one that is happening right in front of me.
So today, I’m reminding myself:
I am already inside the days I once hoped I would get. I will stop treating them like a waiting room. I will notice them. I will participate in them. I will love people while they’re here, enjoy what is good while it’s good, and stop requiring everything to be perfect before I allow myself to feel alive.
My life is not coming.
It’s here.
And today, I’m going to be here for it.

If We Really Believed We Were Connected, Would the World Look Like This?
We say we’re all connected. We say we’re all souls having a human experience. That underneath the different bodies, countries, cultures, beliefs and circumstances, there’s something in all of us that comes from the same place.
I believe that. But sometimes I look at the world and wonder if we actually live like we believe it.
Because it’s easy to feel connected to people we understand. It’s easy to send love to someone who thinks like us, lives like us, believes what we believe and treats us well. The real test is everybody else.
The person struggling with addiction. The homeless person everyone walks past. The immigrant looking for somewhere safe to live. The elderly person who takes too long at the checkout. The person who believes something completely different from you. The person who has nothing to offer you. The person whose life you simply don’t understand.
If we truly believe every human being has value, that belief has to survive contact with people who are different from us.
And living like it’s true doesn’t require some huge spiritual gesture. It’s noticing the person nobody else is talking to and including them. It’s giving someone a little more patience when they’re struggling instead of immediately deciding they’re difficult. It’s helping when you can without first deciding whether someone deserves your help.
It’s refusing to join in when someone is being humiliated, mocked or treated as less than everyone else. It’s listening to someone whose life looks nothing like yours without needing to correct them, compare experiences or tell them how you would have handled it.
It’s remembering that the exhausted cashier, the person holding up traffic, the neighbour who seems miserable, the frightened newcomer and the stranger having a terrible day all have an entire life happening behind the tiny piece you’re seeing.
And sometimes it’s simply asking yourself, “If that were me, or someone I loved, how would I hope the world treated them?”
That’s connection in real life.
Maybe spirituality isn’t measured by what we believe about souls, energy, God, the Universe or what happens after we die. Maybe the better measure is much simpler: How did knowing we are connected change the way I treated people while I was here?
Because believing we are all one is beautiful. Living like it’s true is something else entirely. And I think that’s where the real work is.

Tarot Card of the Day: Five of Wands 🔥
Not every hill needs your flag planted on top of it.
The Five of Wands made me laugh a little today because honestly, how much of our energy gets wasted on things that absolutely do not deserve it?
Someone misunderstood what you meant.
Someone has an opinion you completely disagree with.
Someone is doing something in a way that makes you think, “Why on earth would you do it like THAT?”
And suddenly your brain has opened a courtroom, hired a lawyer and prepared a 47-page PowerPoint presentation.
This card is about friction, but not necessarily the terrible kind.
Sometimes disagreement shows you another angle.
Sometimes being challenged makes you rethink something you were absolutely certain about.
And sometimes you realize halfway through an argument that you don’t even care enough about the subject to still be arguing.
That’s the interesting part of today’s card.
Before you spend your energy proving, correcting, defending or convincing, ask yourself:
What am I actually trying to accomplish here?
Because there’s a big difference between having a conversation that helps something grow and having an argument because your ego wants the last word.
You don’t have to attend every disagreement you’re invited to.
And you definitely don’t need to win them all. ❤️

I think one of the hardest things we have to learn about loving other people is that we don’t get to decide what should or shouldn’t hurt them.
And wow, do we try.
“But that’s not what I meant.”
“You took it the wrong way.”
“I was only joking.”
“That wouldn’t bother me.”
Maybe all of that is true.
But if someone you love is standing in front of you telling you that something hurt them, that’s probably not the moment to start building your defence case.
Because they aren’t necessarily saying you’re a terrible person.
They’re saying, “Something happened here, and it hurt me.”
Those are two very different things.
We all carry different histories, insecurities, experiences and tender places. Something that rolls right off you might land directly on a bruise in someone else.
And sometimes you won’t understand why.
You don’t actually have to.
You can simply care that it did.
I think we’d save ourselves so much unnecessary hurt if we stopped treating every difficult conversation like someone has to be guilty and someone has to be innocent.
Sometimes two good people just experience the same moment differently.
You can explain what you meant AND listen to how it felt.
You can know you didn’t intend to hurt someone AND still care that you did.
That little word “and” can change an awful lot.
Because when you really love someone, the goal shouldn’t always be to prove that you were right.
Sometimes the goal is simply to understand each other a little better than you did before. ❤️

We talk a lot about what social media is doing to our kids.
But I think we need to admit something.
It’s doing it to us too.
We are carrying around a little screen that gives us an endless stream of people to compare ourselves to.
Not the people we would normally encounter in a day.
Millions of them.
The most beautiful.
The youngest-looking.
The thinnest.
The sexiest.
The wealthiest.
The most successful.
And because THAT is what gets attention, THAT is what the algorithms keep showing us.
Think about how bizarre that actually is.
For most of human history, you compared yourself to the people around you.
Now you can sit on your couch in your pyjamas and, within ten minutes, compare your face, body, marriage, house, income, vacations, wardrobe, career and entire life to hundreds of people.
And then wonder why you suddenly feel like crap. 😂
The really scary part is that we KNOW much of it is curated.
We know about filters.
We know people take fifty pictures and post one.
We know nobody uploads the argument they had before the smiling vacation photo.
We know influencers are selling things.
We know lighting, angles, cosmetic procedures and editing exist.
And somehow our brains still whisper…
Why don’t I look like that?
Why don’t I have that?
Why am I aging like this?
Am I still sexy?
Should I be doing more?
Have I accomplished enough?
Is everyone else happier than me?
That constant comparison quietly messes with our definition of what “enough” looks like.
And social media has added something humans have never had before:
A scoreboard.
Likes.
Followers.
Views.
Comments.
Shares.
Actual numbers attached to how much attention something about you received.
Post a beautiful photo and watch the reaction.
Post an accomplishment and watch the reaction.
Post something vulnerable, thoughtful or meaningful and maybe…crickets. 😂
You don’t have to consciously believe that attention equals worth for your brain to start making the connection.
Pretty gets noticed.
S*xy gets noticed.
Youth gets noticed.
Money gets noticed.
Drama gets noticed.
Perfect gets noticed.
So we start presenting ourselves accordingly.
And after enough years of looking at ourselves through everybody else’s eyes, it can become surprisingly difficult to remember what WE actually value.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to look attractive. I like makeup. I like doing my hair. I like feeling sexy. I’m certainly not throwing my mascara away in protest. 😂
The problem begins when those things start answering a much bigger question:
“Am I enough?”
Because no filter should get to answer that.
No stranger scrolling past your photograph should get to answer that.
No number underneath a post should get to answer that.
And no algorithm designed to keep your attention should get to decide what kind of human being deserves it.
Maybe every once in a while, we need to put the phone down and remember what doesn’t fit nicely into a photograph.
Your humour.
Your integrity.
The way you love people.
The person you became after life knocked you flat.
The apology you finally learned how to give.
The compassion you developed because you’ve suffered too.
The way someone feels safe telling you the truth.
The fact that you’ve changed your mind, learned, grown and become a little wiser along the way.
None of that is particularly good at collecting likes.
But it’s pretty damn good at building a human being.
Maybe social media isn’t only changing what we look at.
Maybe, if we’re not careful, it’s changing what we believe is worth looking at.
So here’s something I think we should all do, myself included.
Pay attention to how you feel the next time you put your phone down after scrolling.
Did you leave feeling inspired?
Or did you leave feeling older, heavier, poorer, less attractive, less successful or somehow behind in your own life?
And then ask yourself one more question:
“Who taught me that THIS is what I have to be in order to feel good about myself?”
Because you get a say in what you value.
You get a say in what you admire.
You get a say in what you measure your life against.
And maybe it’s time we stopped letting an algorithm have quite so much say in it. ❤️

I think raising children has changed in a way we haven’t fully caught up with yet.
Our kids are growing up with TikTok, Instagram, influencers, filters, trends and algorithms quietly teaching them what gets attention.
Be beautiful.
Be sexy.
Look younger.
Wear this.
Have this body.
Buy this.
Follow this trend.
Get the likes.
And if thousands of people are paying attention to someone because of how they look, what they wear or how desirable they appear, what conclusion is a young mind supposed to make?
This must be what makes a person valuable.
And the other side of that message is pretty awful:
If I don’t look like that, dress like that, have that body, get that attention or fit into whatever box is popular this month…
maybe I’m not enough.
That scares me.
Because children and teenagers are still figuring out who they ARE, while the world is handing them a measuring stick based largely on how other people respond to them.
So how do we compete with that?
Maybe we start by becoming much more conscious of what WE notice about them.
Of course tell your daughter she’s beautiful. Tell your son he looks handsome. Celebrate the new haircut and the cool outfit.
But don’t let appearance be the most interesting thing you notice about them.
Notice when they think differently.
“I never would have thought of doing it that way. That was really creative.”
Notice when they struggle.
“You were really upset, but you worked through it and figured out what you needed to do.”
Notice character.
“I saw what you did for that kid who was sitting alone. Nobody asked you to do that. You just noticed.”
Notice courage, curiosity, humour, compassion, problem-solving, determination, imagination and the million little things that make them THEM.
Because every time we point those things out, we’re helping them build another definition of worth.
One that doesn’t require a perfect body.
One that doesn’t disappear when a trend changes.
One that doesn’t depend on being sexy or popular.
One that doesn’t need strangers on the internet to press a little heart button.
And maybe we need to talk openly about what they’re seeing online too.
Ask them:
“Why do you think this person gets so much attention?”
“Do you think attention and love are the same thing?”
“What do you like about yourself that nobody can see in a photograph?”
Those are conversations worth having.
Because we probably can’t stop the world from telling our children that their value lives on the outside.
But we can make damn sure that isn’t the only voice they hear.
One day they’re going to look in a mirror and not look exactly like the people filling their screen.
I want the voice inside their head to say:
“So what? There is so much more to me than that.”
And hopefully, some of that voice will sound a little bit like us. ❤️
