🤩YOUR SKY MISSION: HUNT THE “FALSE DAWN”

There’s a ghostly second dawn in the sky this week, and if you have access to dark skies, you may be able to catch one of the most beautiful and overlooked sights in nature.

It’s called the zodiacal light: a soft, pyramid-shaped glow rising from the eastern horizon before sunrise.

This is sunlight reflecting off dust particles scattered through the inner solar system, ancient debris left behind by comets and collisions.

🎯 SKY MISSION
WHEN: About 90 minutes to 2 hours before sunrise
WHERE: Look east
BEST CONDITIONS: Dark rural skies with a low, unobstructed horizon
NEED: Naked eye, but you’ll need clear, moon-free, dark skies
This is a tougher target than most weekly sky events we try for, which makes it a cool challenge for skywatchers and photographers.

The cutest DIY for ocean lovers! 🌊

Materials Needed:
-Glass mason jar
-Frosted glass spray paint
-Mermaid and fish silhouette stickers (or vinyl cutouts)
-Blue battery-operated fairy lights (or an LED puck light)
-Jute twine (thick for the lid, thin for the net)
-Faux pearls, tiny seashells, and small starfish
-Faux coral or aquarium plants
-Hot glue gun

Instructions:
1. Frost the Jar
In a well-ventilated area, coat the outside of your clean mason jar with frosted glass spray paint. Let it dry completely.

2. Add the Silhouettes
Once the jar is dry, carefully apply your mermaid and fish silhouette stickers to the inside (or outside) of the glass.

3. Wrap the Lid
Using your hot glue gun, carefully wrap the thick jute twine around the lid, starting from the top center and spiraling outward until the entire lid is covered.

4. Make the Fishnet
Cut several lengths of thin twine and knot them together in a diamond pattern to create a small net. Thread a few faux pearls onto the twine before tying some of the knots. Drape the finished net over one side of the jar and secure it with a few dabs of hot glue.

5. Decorate with Sea Life
Use hot glue to attach the faux coral, tiny seashells, and starfish around the base of the jar, onto the netting, and on the lid to frame the scene.

6. Light It Up!
Drop your blue fairy lights into the jar, screw on the twine-wrapped lid, and turn it on to watch your mermaid glow! ✨🧜‍♀️🌊

Try lying comfortably on your back for 5–10 minutes, letting your arms rest beside you and allowing your breathing to become slow and natural. Co**se Pose can be a useful relaxation practice, but it should not replace blood-pressure medicine or medical care if you have hypertension.
