🧡 EVERY CHILD MATTERS — SEPTEMBER 30 🧡

Orange Shirt Day is deeply personal to me.

My late mother was a residential school Survivor. As an Indigenous mother, daughter, educator and creator, the meaning behind Every Child Matters is something I carry close to my heart.

Orange Shirt Day grew from the story of Phyllis Webstad, who was six years old when she arrived at residential school wearing a new orange shirt her grandmother had bought for her. When she arrived, her shirt was taken away and never returned.

Her story reminds us of the children whose identities, languages, cultures and connections to family were taken from them — and of the children who never came home.

September 30 is a day to honour Survivors, remember the children, and continue the work of Truth and Reconciliation.

🧡 Every Child Matters.

I have a LIMITED NUMBER of my own original orange T-shirt designs available through Princess Heart Designs.

👕 Sizes Small–3XL 🧡 Original designs by me 🧡 Limited quantities available 🧡 Available while supplies last

Please message me directly to order and secure your size before September 30.

When we wear orange, may we always remember why we wear it.
Honour the Survivors. Remember the children. Every Child Matters. 🧡
