Travel changes fast.

Algorithms change.
Platforms change.
AI changes.
Audience expectations change.

The people succeeding aren't the ones who already know everything.

They're the ones who keep learning.

TBEX brings together creators, destination marketers, tourism professionals and industry experts who openly share what's working right now and what's already becoming outdated.

Because staying relevant isn't about chasing every trend.

It's about learning from people who are creating them.

The biggest opportunities in travel rarely begin with an email.

They start with a conversation over coffee.
A hallway introduction.
Someone saying, "You should meet..."

That's what makes TBEX different.

Creators meet destinations.
Destinations meet creators.
Ideas become collaborations.
Collaborations become campaigns.
Campaigns become careers.

Whether you're joining us in Almaty, Fargo, or Türkiye, you'll be surrounded by people who genuinely understand the business of travel storytelling.

Some of the best partnerships you'll ever make probably aren't on your calendar yet.

They're waiting for you at TBEX.

Thank you to TravelAbility for shining a spotlight on TBEX and the meaningful conversations taking place across our community. We're proud to be helping shape a more inclusive future for travel creators, destinations, and the industry as a whole.

The intersection of content creation and destination marketing just underwent a massive shift.

At TBEX, the world's largest gathering for travel content creators and tourism industry professionals, accessibility took center stage. The opening keynote featured disabled creators Curb Free with Cory Lee, Penny Zibula , and Phoenyx Powell, reinforcing a message that echoed throughout the conference: accessible travel content is the future of destination marketing.

Beyond the stage, live transcription, sensory spaces, and accessible wayfinding demonstrated what it looks like when an industry event practices what it preaches.

The disability community is already spending $50 billion a year on travel in the U.S. alone. Destinations that aren't paying attention are missing the moment.

In 2016, a dog fell into a reservoir in #Almaty and could not escape the steep concrete walls and strong current. A man tried to help but was unable to reach it on his own. Seeing this, several strangers stepped in and formed a human chain, reaching down into the rushing water and saving both the dog and the man.

Ten years later, this moment was turned into a sculpture unveiled on March 18. Funded privately and approved by the city, it stands as a symbol of kindness, unity, and people coming together.

More than a tribute to a single rescue, it reflects something simple and real: in urgent moments, strangers can help one another and save lives. #architectanddesign 07/16/2026

Do you remember this viral moment?

Ten years ago, complete strangers in Almaty formed a human chain to rescue a stranded dog. It was one of those rare internet moments that reminded us what people are capable of when they simply choose to help.

Now that moment has been transformed into public art at the very spot where it happened. The interactive sculpture invites visitors to literally become part of the chain, turning a viral video into a lasting symbol of kindness, community, and humanity.

When you join us for TBEX Asia in Almaty, don't just look for the famous landmarks. Some of the city's most meaningful stories are the ones that began with ordinary people doing something extraordinary.

🍎 Did you know the name Almaty comes from the Kazakh word for apple?

The foothills surrounding Almaty are considered the ancestral home of many of the apples we enjoy today, with wild apple forests that helped shape modern varieties around the world. It's one of the reasons Almaty is often called the "City of Apples."

When you visit, keep an eye out for apple sculptures, local markets, apple-inspired treats, and plenty of nods to the fruit that put this remarkable destination on the map. Sometimes the sweetest travel stories have the deepest roots.

Wanna see how this "apple" caught out TBEX eye, join us for TBEX Asia next month in Visit Almaty!🍏 .
