Sometimes we spend so much time looking outside ourselves for reassurance, acceptance, or to feel enough. But there comes a point when we realize that what we’ve been searching for has been within us all along.
There is something beautiful about coming home to yourself. Trusting your own heart, recognizing your own light, and knowing you don’t need anyone else to define your worth. ❤️

A Voice for Spirit 💫 | The Love That Remains
As I sat at the beach for a while, listening to the waves and taking in the stillness around me, I found myself wanting to write. Lately, I’ve been spending more and more time just sitting quietly and writing, allowing my thoughts to come without trying to force anything. There’s something about being still that seems to open up a different part of me. 🌊💙
I started writing without really knowing where it was going to take me, and these are the words that came through. I thought I would share them with you. 💫
(Thanks Cathy for the push.) ❤️
We talk so much about losing someone, but sometimes I wonder if the word loss really holds everything that happens when someone we love leaves this physical life. ❤️
Because when you’ve loved deeply, whether it was a parent, a child, a best friend, a coworker who became like family, or even a little animal who shared some of the hardest and happiest days of your life 🐾💔, their absence can feel enormous.
The chair is empty. Their name comes up in conversation. You reach for your phone before remembering you can’t call them. You hear a song, smell something familiar, or walk past a place you shared, and suddenly there they are in your heart again.
Grief is strange that way. It doesn’t always come as tears. Sometimes it’s laughter. Sometimes it’s anger. Sometimes it’s gratitude. Sometimes it’s simply sitting quietly and realizing how lucky you were to have loved someone that much. 🕊️
And that’s why I’ve never believed that remembering someone should only be about the sadness of their death. There can also be a celebration in it. Not a celebration that they are gone, but a celebration of the life they lived, the love they gave, the memories they left behind, and all those little moments that changed us forever. 🌅❤️
For some, death comes after a long struggle, emotionally, physically, or quietly in ways most people never saw. And while saying goodbye can break our hearts, there can also be a gentle feeling of knowing they no longer have to carry whatever was hurting them. Sometimes love means holding on. And sometimes love means allowing someone to rest.
You don’t grieve deeply because you are weak. You grieve because you loved deeply. And sometimes I think grief isn’t only about missing someone. It’s about all the love that is still inside you. All the things you still wish you could say. All the hugs you wish you could give. All the moments you wish you could have shared.
It’s loving someone so deeply that even when they are no longer physically beside you, your heart hasn’t stopped loving them. ❤️
Maybe that’s why grief can feel so heavy. It’s not because the love disappeared. It’s because the love is still there. 🕊️💫
For me, this is where connecting with Spirit comes in. It isn’t about taking away the grief or pretending we don’t miss someone. It’s about honouring the love that remains. Because grief exists where love has been. And sometimes, right in the middle of all that heartache, we find those little moments that remind us just how deeply someone touched our lives. 💛
And the beautiful thing is, years can pass, but love doesn’t seem to understand time. Someone can be gone for decades and still make you smile with one memory. A little dog or cat can be gone for years and you can still remember exactly how they looked at you. A friend can be gone, yet something they once said can still come back to you when you need it.
That, to me, is one of the quietest mysteries of being human.
We say goodbye to the physical presence, but we don’t have to say goodbye to the love. ❤️🕊️
So if you are grieving someone today, human or animal, family or friend, someone you knew for fifty years or someone who touched your life for only a short while, give yourself permission to remember them with both tears and a smile.
Tell their stories. Say their name. Look at the photographs. Laugh at the things they used to do. Light a candle. Raise a glass. Sit quietly. Celebrate them.
Because a life should be remembered for more than the day it ended.
It should be remembered for all the love that came before it. Thanks for reading. 💫❤️

What if some of the amazing things we do here on Earth are also inspired by the love we carry for those who are in Heaven? 🌅❤️ Sometimes I truly believe the people we’ve loved and lost are still right beside us, quietly giving us strength when we need it most… 🕊️✨ We may not be able to see them or hold them, but their love never leaves us. It shows up in those little moments when we suddenly feel stronger, find the courage to keep going, or do something we never thought we could. 💛🙏 And maybe that’s the beautiful thing about love… it doesn’t end when someone leaves this world. ❤️🩹 It stays with us, surrounds us, and reminds us that we’re never really alone. 🌊🌅✨ Heaven is right beside us… and love is the bridge. 🕊️❤️💫

✨🤍 A little reminder for the sensitive souls… 🤍✨
I think there are so many of us who feel things deeply. We notice the little things. We pick up on the energy around us. We care about people, sometimes even when we probably shouldn’t. We have big hearts, and sometimes those big hearts can make life feel a little overwhelming. 🥹💗🌎
But please never think that being sensitive means you are weak. It doesn’t. ❤️🩹
There is something really beautiful about still choosing kindness in a world that can sometimes feel so harsh. About still having compassion. Still caring. Still being the person who checks in, listens, understands, forgives, and tries to make someone else feel a little less alone. 🤗💕🫶✨
And maybe sometimes you need to remember that you matter too. 🌸 You don’t always have to be the strong one. You don’t always have to carry everyone else’s feelings. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to protect your peace. You are allowed to have boundaries and still be a kind person. 🤍🕊️🌿
So here’s to all of us who feel deeply, love deeply, and sometimes need a little extra time to process this crazy world we live in. 🥰💫
Please don’t ever lose that beautiful softness in you. The world can be a hard place, and people with empathy, compassion, and kindness are needed more than ever. 💕🌎✨
You may not always realize it, but the way you show up in the world can make someone else’s day feel a little lighter, a little safer, and a whole lot less lonely. 🤍🫂🌸✨
Keep your beautiful heart. 💖🥰🕊️

The truth is, we already have everything we need within us. Growth isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about having the courage to trust yourself, let go of what no longer serves you, and turn the page. Your next chapter is waiting. 💛
