Obviously, an empty chamber doesn’t tell you anything about the person who’ll settle into it next. We talk a lot about HBOT around here but talk is cheap.

Today, meet Darlene, Mere, Jennifer and Bernie: four people who come to O₂xy Wellness for four different reasons. As the old cliche states, "the proof is in the pudding." These lovely folks are on the cutting edge of science and medicine as they embark on every hour they spend engaging in HBOT. 💙

Swipe through to see what brings each of them here.

And then you better call Al if you have any questions and to book your next HBOT. 😊

What do the rosary and a yoga mantra have in common? Researchers found the answer on a heart monitor.

In 2001, a team of scientists asked volunteers to pray and chant while their hearts were being tracked. Both practices slowed their breathing to the same pace, and the natural rhythms of their hearts grew stronger.

That pace is about one breath every ten seconds. Our new blog post explains why this simple rhythm matters for your heart and blood pressure, and how you can try it yourself today.

Pick a cushion. Take a seat.

So much of the week asks you to respond, keep up and be available.

This Sunday, take a few minutes to ask yourself:

How am I feeling?
What do I need?
What can wait?

You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted to make room for yourself.

Return to yourself.

Your Sunday Return with O₂xy Wellness.

Does healing work better when we stop asking one modality to do everything?

HBOT supports physical conditions. Meditation works with the mind. Ayurveda asks what brings the individual back into balance.

Different modalities. One broad approach to healing.

This week on the O₂xy Wellness blog, we explore how HBOT, meditation and Ayurveda can occupy different places on the same healing journey.

You do not have to take the world in at the rate it is offered.

The world can reach you at any hour now.

News alerts. Messages. Opinions. Arguments. Emergencies involving people you have never met.

We have confused access with obligation.

Just because information is available immediately does not mean you must receive it immediately. Just because someone can contact you does not mean they are automatically entitled to your attention.

Your attention is not empty space waiting to be filled. It is part of your life. Every hour surrendered to noise is an hour you cannot give to thought, conversation, work, prayer or rest.

Turn something off today.

Let one message wait. Leave one headline unread. Allow one opinion to pass without phasing you.

Not everything happening in the world needs to happen inside you.

Your Sunday Exhale with O₂xy Wellness.

Could it be that forgiveness is easier when you understand yourself and others?

Now there's a million-dollar question!

This Friday, Al heads west and shares what he does when he's had a rough week and needs a reset. While he's at it, he offers profound insight on forgiveness.

Listen in and let Al know what you think.

Do you need a reset?

Imagine setting aside an afternoon just for yourself. What would it feel like?

Come and find out.

On Saturday, October 24, Al is hosting a gathering at O₂xy Wellness: an afternoon of ceremony, sound, food and connection with like-minded souls.

We’ll begin with a cacao ceremony, move into integrative community drumming, settle into a crystal bowl sound bath and finish by enjoying Ayurvedic khichari and visiting together.

The cacao ceremony offers a shared pause for intention and reflection. The drumming invites joy and childlike abandon. The crystal bowl sound bath creates space to settle, listen and reconnect.

What might the afternoon hold?

Laughter. Tears. Openness.

You’re welcome to bring a blanket, yoga mat or drum, but you don’t need to. Everything you require will be provided.

Our cacao is organic, non-GMO and gluten-free. The Ayurvedic khichari is vegan and gluten-free.

Noon–4 p.m.

Good question, eh?

Obviously, meditation and HBOT are very different approaches to healing, and one does not replace the other.

But, as you get to know Al, you come to understand that O₂xy Wellness was built by a man whose curiosity about health has never stayed inside the proverbial box.

Al has meditated for nearly 20 years and is certified to teach two meditation modalities.

He asks questions and follows wherever the answers lead.
That's why conversations with Al are never boring. His Friday videos are not simply sales pitches for HBOT. They are a window into the mind behind O₂xy Wellness.

Last week, that meant meditation.

This Friday, Al invites us to explore another healing modality he practices. Have you ever heard of Ayurveda?
