What a weekend. There’s something about tattoo conventions that makes time feel wonderfully strange — so much happens in such a short amount of time, and then suddenly you’re home, looking through hundreds of photos and realizing just how much you experienced.

The tattoos, the conversations, the laughs, the nerves, the late nights, the new faces, familiar faces, and all the little moments in between. I’m so grateful I get to experience this world and watch myself grow within it.

One of the most surreal moments of the weekend was bringing home my first award. 🏆 Not because an award is the reason I do this, but because of what it represented. I’m only one year and three months into tattooing, and getting to experience that moment at the same convention where my mentor won her first award with a tattoo she did on me years ago felt incredibly full-circle.

Mostly, though, I’m leaving Lethbridge feeling incredibly grateful.

Grateful for every person who has trusted me with their skin. Grateful for everyone who has followed along with my journey, encouraged me, shared my work, or quietly cheered me on from the sidelines. Grateful for the artists who inspire me, the people I’ve met along the way, and the opportunities that continue to push me outside of my comfort zone.

I’m still so early in this journey, and there is SO much I want to learn, create, and become.

Here’s to the memories, the messy moments, the beautiful tattoos, the lessons, the people, and everything still waiting around the corner. 🤍

But here’s where it gets a little surreal…

This is the exact same convention where my mentor Elizabeth Amanda Collinson won her first award — with a tattoo she did on me years ago.💕

How wonderfully strange time is.

A HUGE thank you to Will & Ash for putting on such an amazing convention and creating a space where artists can come together, learn, grow, and celebrate each other. It’s always amazing to get together with the friends I’ve created in the industry over the years✨

This award means so much more to me than just a trophy. It feels like a little marker of how far I’ve come, how much I’ve learned, and how much more there is still ahead of me.

And to everyone who has followed my journey, supported my work, encouraged me, shared my posts, booked with me, believed in me, and cheered me on from the sidelines — thank you. I genuinely wouldn’t be here without you. 🤍

There have been plenty of moments where I’ve questioned myself, felt behind, or wondered if I was good enough. So to have this moment happen now feels incredibly surreal.

Here’s to the first award of many, to continuing to learn, and to seeing just how far this journey can take me. 🥂✨
