School is back in session👩‍🏫🎒

Hard to believe summer is over but our kids were ready to get back to school, see friends and have routine after all the summer fun!

Good luck to all the kiddos and parents for this school year!

This is it.... the final weekend of summer vacation. ⛱

Next week it will be all school lunches, rushing kids out the door and back to more structured schedules. 👩‍🏫

So this weekend we are definitely taking it slow, spending lots of time relaxing and playing lots of Magic!🧙

How are you spending the long weekend?

The start of school is just around the corner. Kids and parents are busy making sure they have everything they need to have a successful school year.

Don't forget to include a little fun when you're making the back to school lists. Why not include a new game? Check out one of our playboxes, like The Apprentice!

The Apprentice includes:
👉Two 60 card decks, tailored to your preferred playing style, including all required tokens to play without guesswork
👉Sleeves to protect your cards and make them easier to shuffle
👉Two colourful D20 life counters and 2 sets of six-sided dice
👉Two fabric-covered neoprene mats in your choice of colours to express your unique style
👉Two reusable cardboard deckboxes
👉QR code for Learn to Play Magic: The Gathering in under 16 minutes!

When you're looking to use games to help teach your children, it's really helpful if the game is also visually appealing.

Our kids definitely get excited about the artwork on Magic cards. Then they are eager to read the card to see how to play it or if they can use it in their decks.

This simple task is amazing for practising reading and broadening their vocabulary.

With over 20,000 unique Magic cards, there is no shortage of cards to practice reading and amazing artwork to check out! 🎨

For the last of our MTG keyword series we talk about cards that are double-faced. Double-faced cards have two playable faces, one on each side of the card.

When you play a double-faced card from your hand, you choose which side to play.

Short on mana? Play Tangled Vale as your land drop for the turn. Good on mana but need another creature? Cast Tangled Florahedron to help you ramp up in future turns. It's up to you. You’ll know it’s a double-faced card because it denotes there is a back side that’s playable in two places on the card.

We're about to head on a little family vacation🏖 and we will definitely be packing some Magic decks and playmats!

It's such an easy, compact game to bring with us. 🎲 Perfect for rainy days or quiet nights after a full day of sun ☀️ and fun.

Does your family travel with any games?
