Your home doesn’t need another storage bin. It might need less stuff.

Before you organize, you need to declutter.

After years of organizing homes, I’ve found that we can often let go of at least a third of what’s in a room: clothes, dishes, beauty products, linens, kids’ stuff and all the things we’re keeping “just in case.”

In my latest blog, I’m breaking down why we hold on, how to decide what’s actually worth keeping, and why organizing too much stuff will never make your home easier to maintain.

September is the perfect time to make room for a new season. Before you bring more in, ask yourself: What can I let go of?

little summer recap from a chick who doesn't enjoy taking photos...

This summer looked a little different around here.

As I shared in my newsletter, I intentionally took a step back from content creation and social media. I’ve been thinking about how I want to spend my time and energy and, honestly, I’ve been enjoying the space to simply do the work.

Since January, I’ve been primarily focused on one project, and we officially wrapped it up this month! Because of the nature of the project, there weren’t a lot of those satisfying “before & after” moments to share here but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty happening behind the scenes.

So instead, here’s a little glimpse of what else I’ve been up to this summer. Few moments made the camera roll but some did.

I hope you had a wonderful summer, found some time to slow down, enjoy yourself and make some memories.

And if September has you looking around your home thinking, “Okay… it’s time to get this together,” I’d love to help.

Your home should make your life easier, not feel like another responsibility.

A whole-home organization project is about more than decluttering a few closets or finding a place for your things.

It’s about creating intentional systems throughout your home so everything has a purpose, a place, and a flow that makes sense for the way you actually live.

From the kitchen and closets to bedrooms, bathrooms, storage spaces and everything in between, we look at the whole picture.

The result?

A home that feels calmer, functions better, and is easier to maintain without requiring you to constantly “get organized.”

Your home can work beautifully for you.

If you're ready for a whole-home transformation, let's talk.

Summer is busy enough without feeling like you need to constantly reset your home.

Whether your calendar is packed with plans or you're intentionally slowing things down, your organizing systems should make life easier, not give you another thing to maintain.

That’s why I’m sharing 3 simple organizing shortcuts in my latest blog:

👉🏾 Create a designated drop zone
👉🏾 Use baskets for quick resets
👉🏾 Make your summer essentials easy to grab

Nothing complicated. Nothing that requires a full weekend of organizing.

Just simple systems that help your home keep up with your life.

A lot of people assume their garage, shed, or storage area feels cluttered because they don’t have enough space.

But most of the time, the issue isn’t the size of the space—it’s that the space was never set up to support how it’s actually being used.

As the seasons change, your home needs different systems. What worked for winter storage usually doesn’t work for summer living.

That’s why organizing outdoor spaces isn’t just about making things look neat. It’s about creating easier access, better flow, and systems that make everyday life feel less overwhelming.

In this month’s blog, I’m sharing practical strategies to help you reset your outdoor spaces before summer gets busy—from creating functional zones to making the most-used items easier to reach.

Most people try to organize their outdoor spaces by jumping straight into bins and storage solutions.

But if the space hasn’t been properly decluttered first, the systems usually don’t last.

In this month’s blog, I talk about why preparing your garage, shed, or storage space for summer starts with a reset—not just a clean-up.

These three decluttering steps help create a space that actually functions for everyday life:
→ Remove what no longer belongs
→ Group items by how they’re used
→ Prioritize access over storage

Because summer living looks different than winter storage.

The goal isn’t to pack everything away neatly. It’s to make the things you use most easy to access so your home feels lighter, easier, and more functional all season long.

Most kitchens don’t feel cluttered because of what you own.
They feel cluttered because you can’t see or access what you own.

And when something is hard to see… it gets forgotten.
When it gets forgotten… it turns into clutter.

That’s where a few simple shifts change everything.

Can risers bring visibility back to your shelves.
Open-front bins remove the friction from everyday access.

No digging. No rearranging. No mess.

Just a kitchen that finally works the way you do.

You shouldn’t have to dig through your kitchen to find what you already own.

If you can’t see it, you don’t use it.
If you don’t use it… it turns into clutter.

That’s why organization isn’t just about putting things away—it’s about visibility and access.

Two of the simplest upgrades I use in almost every kitchen: • Can risers → so everything is visible at a glance
• Open-front bins → so you can grab what you need without the mess

Small shifts that make a big difference in how your kitchen functions every day.

In the blog, I break down all 4 products I use to transform kitchens—and how to choose what works for your space.

Your kitchen isn’t messy.
It’s unsupported.

You’ve organized. Reset. Rearranged.
And somehow… it still doesn’t feel right.

That’s not a discipline problem.
It’s a systems problem.

Most kitchens are built for storage—
not for real life.

And if your space doesn’t feel calm,
you won’t maintain it.

The shift isn’t doing more.
It’s choosing better.

You can organize your kitchen without buying a single thing…
but if it still feels cluttered, inconsistent, or just off, it’s not about effort—it’s about the system.

The truth is, a few simple upgrades can completely change how your kitchen looks and functions.

Think:
• Matching baskets for instant calm
• Clear containers for that clean, elevated feel
Small changes. Big shift.

If you’ve been organizing but it’s still not working, this is likely what’s missing.
