Let's Get Together
Making access to technology and learning more accessible and equitable for youth, parents and communities.
We work with various partners to get donations and organize special TechCollect Drive events across Ontario. We create student-led initiatives that inspire youth connections, skill development and mentorship opportunities while helping parents understand the challenges youth face today so they can learn how best to support their child in building their own bright future.

What a milestone! Last week, we hosted our first-ever Computer Refurbathon in North Etobicoke, and the energy in the room was incredible!
Together, we brought old computers back to life, diverted e-waste from landfills, shared stories of how computer ownership can impact our lives, and took a huge leap forward in our mission toward tech equity.
A massive, heartfelt thank you to our team, our 10 senior Tech Ambassadors, the Rexdale Community Hub, COM2 Recycling Solutions, the Etobicoke community, and our guests, including Julia from the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, Marilyn from the Humber Arboretum, North Etobicoke Council Candidate Chloe Brown, and PC Andrew and PC Kameron of the Toronto Police Service 23 Division for coming together to make this event a success!
Thank you to Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP, Livingston International, WoodGreen Community Services, Ten Logistics, Kingsview Free Methodist Church, ArcelorMittal Tubular Products and The Learning Place for their tech donations for this event.
Lastly, we would like to thank John Zerucelli for giving us the opportunity to assemble a team of students through the Canada Summer Jobs program to bring projects and events like this to life over the past few months.

Our first-ever Computer Refurb-a-thon is happening next week (Aug 18th & 21st), and we need your help to make it a success!
The Let’s Get Together team and participating volunteers will need a large supply of computer hardware so that they have enough resources at the event to refurbish over 50 computers and send them back into the community! We would greatly appreciate the donation of any functional desktops, laptops, computer monitors and peripherals, RAM (DDR3 & DDR4), and SSDs that you no longer need.
You can also support our Computer Refurb-a-thon by sponsoring the event or sharing our Computer Refurb-a-thon flyers and social media posts with others.
Send us a DM or visit our website at https://tech4all.letsgettogether.ca/ to connect with us. We’d love to get in touch with you and work together to make the Computer Refurb-a-thon the best it can be!

Networking isn’t just a tool to get a job — it’s a life skill to effectively build genuine connections with others.
Earlier this week, Connecting Generations Forward’s latest cohort of students had the chance to step away from their virtual sessions and meet together in-person for an engaging session on networking led by two of the program’s experienced coaches, Shehzad Qureshi and Adrianne Largo.
During the 2 hour session, the students gained new perspectives on networking and valuable insights from the coaches’ networking tips, strategies, and stories. They also participated in various activities to put their networking skills to the test and reflected on how they could further develop these skills.
A huge thank you to Shehzad and Adrianne for volunteering their time to share their wisdom and experiences with the students. We would also like to thank Rebecca Konadu-Bruce for helping to organize this event.

The party doesn’t start until Ajeesh walks in!
Ajeesh is one of our youth student volunteers from Centennial Senior Public School. Introduced to us by his teacher, Mr. Dobbie, Ajeesh has since used his volunteer work as an outlet to make an impact on his community while learning many professional skills through the guidance from our team at Let’s Get Together.
We look forward to seeing the great community work Ajeesh will achieve with us and beyond!

Desktops? Ready.
Monitors & Mice? We need YOU! 🖥️🖱️
Our team is on a roll refurbishing desktop computers that have been donated by the community. Soon enough, they will be ready to be redistributed back to those who need them most. But a computer isn't much help without a screen or a way to navigate it!
Currently, we do not have enough computer monitors and computer mice to be paired with our refurbished desktop computers.
If you have any working monitors or mice you no longer need, we’d love to take them off your hands. We can arrange a drop-off or pick-up! Send us a DM or visit our website to learn more about how you can donate your tech.

At Let’s Get Together, we strive to empower others to become career-ready!
Today, employment has become a topic that can often give people feelings of uncertainty and stress, especially for youth. While it can be uncomfortable to discuss, we believe that having candid, open discussions can turn anxiety into action. Opening up about the job hunt isn’t just a chance to pick up actionable strategies - it’s a reminder to us all that we’re not alone in facing this challenge.
Last week, our student team had the opportunity to participate in an engaging roundtable discussion about networking and job searching with our guest speaker, Jeff Canning - a professional in talent acquisition. Together, we shared our own personal job seeking stories, discussed common challenges when applying for jobs, and unpacked actionable strategies for resume writing, effective interviewing and building genuine professional connections.
We would like to thank Jeff Canning for sharing his experiences and wisdom, and for providing a supportive space for honest conversations about employment.
