Addus is a non-profit charity that supports young adult with developmental disabilities to actively participate in their community and hold valued social roles. Since 1997, in partnership with the Toronto community, Addus has provided fun, meaningful, and individualized day supports for young adults with developmental disabilities. We are a registered non-profit charitable organization. Our dynamic support programs are custom designed directly with participants to be responsive to their individual hopes, dreams and goals. This personalized plan works as a guide to help build all daily supports, programs and curriculum developments. Together, we create and implement a results oriented plan of action. This ensures the individual’s decision making, supported by Addus, is based on concepts of “exploring options” and “informed choice.”
We empower and support participants to take charge of their own lives while giving back to their community to become valued contributing members. Addus provides a welcoming environment that fosters friendships, builds connections, and recognizes the strengths and talents of everyone. Let us know how we can support you! We provide fee for service options as well as being able to accommodate families who receive Passport Funding.

❤️ Walking for Dreams 2025

❤️ What does it mean to Walk for Dreams?
It means walking for opportunity.
For the opportunity to learn something new.
To discover a talent.
To contribute through work or volunteering.

To become more independent.
To be known, valued and included in your community.
On Sunday, October 4th, this year 2026, the Addus community will gather in High Park for our 15th Annual Walking for Dreams 5K Walk.
For 15 years, this special day has brought together participants, families, staff, friends and supporters who believe in something very important:
❤️ People with developmental disabilities deserve opportunities to build lives filled with purpose, connection, choice and belonging.
Walking for Dreams is Addus’s largest community fundraiser, and the funds raised help us continue creating those opportunities throughout the year.
Behind every donation is the possibility of another experience, another connection, another accomplishment and another moment when someone gets to say:
“I did it.” ❤️

LANTERN FESTIVAL
The Addus Art Plus Lantern Festival celebrates community, creativity, individuality, and the beauty of light. For centuries, lanterns have been symbols of hope, guidance, and togetherness across many cultures.
Inspired by this tradition, our Art Plus artists created their own unique lantern designs and glow-in-the-dark paintings, transforming the Art Studio into a colourful and vibrant space filled with creativity and light.
Each creation reflects the individuality of our artists and reminds us that every unique contribution helps brighten and strengthen our community.

Gratitude in Full Bloom – Thank You for a Wonderful Harvest Market!
Our Windermere team did it again! The Addus Harvest Market was bursting with community spirit, creativity, and the sweet scent of fresh-baked pies and homemade treats.
A huge thank-you to our Windermere staff who led the way, our relief staff who helped behind the scenes, and all staff and volunteers who came together to make it happen. And of course — hats off to our incredible participants, whose talents were the heart of it all.
The live tunes of the Vaslav Band, led by our own Vince, set the perfect mood and drew a cheerful crowd — just in time for Thanksgiving!
More than a fundraiser, the Harvest Market was a celebration of inclusion and ability — a reminder that when people are given the chance to shine, our whole community grows brighter.
Special thanks to all the community members who came out to celebrate and purchase items to help celebrate their Thanksgiving.
