Some of our pieces get the gold leaf treatment, sheet by sheet, laid and burnished by hand until the metal catches light like it’s alive. There’s no shortcut for gilding, and for these pieces, we wouldn’t want one. The soft variations in tone, the tiny imperfections that’s what makes a hand-gilded finish so different from anything mass-produced. Slow work, saved for the sconces that deserve it.
