As National Forest Week comes to a close, wildfires are a reminder of how vulnerable Canada’s forests and the communities around them can be.
The Mount Jack wildfire near Sooke, B.C., remains out of control, with dry conditions and limited rainfall helping the fire spread.
Across British Columbia, communities continue to be impacted by another challenging wildfire season. Canadian charities are there to help, providing support when communities need it most.
Sometimes kindness looks like a thoughtful text. Sometimes it’s a home-cooked meal. And sometimes, it’s a hot dog. 🌭
We asked our team about the last kind thing someone did for them, and their answers were a reminder that small acts of kindness can mean a lot.
What’s the last kind thing someone did for you?
Here’s a question that might make you think. 👀
Would you rather see one person donate $1 million or 100,000 people donate $10 each?
We asked our CEO, Duke, to weigh in on generosity, community and the power of giving together.
Now we want to hear from you. Which would you choose? 💙

One step became millions. One act of generosity inspired generations.
In 1980, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope with a dream of funding cancer research. Today, more than $1 billion has been raised in his name.
46 years later, Canadians are still running, still giving and still proving what can happen when generosity moves us forward.

When asked who the most generous person she knew was, Julie didn’t hesitate: her mom. 💙
She gave her time, her energy, and, most memorably, her cooking to the people she loved. 🍕
A reminder that generosity doesn’t always have to be grand. Sometimes it looks like showing up, sharing what you have, and making sure the people around you feel cared for.
What’s the least CEO thing about Duke?
“I play the banjo.” 😂🪕
His goal this year: try new things poorly.
A good reminder that growth often starts before you feel ready, or before you’re good at something.
2-WEEK UPDATE: Nepal–Tibet Floods
More than 1,300 people have died following the devastating flash floods along the Nepal–Tibet border, with more than 5,000 people still missing.
29 Canadians and permanent residents remain unaccounted for, according to Global Affairs Canada. Canada has also deployed RCMP disaster victim identification experts to Nepal to support identification efforts.
Search, recovery and humanitarian efforts continue as communities face widespread damage to homes, roads, bridges and critical infrastructure.
In honour of World Su***de Prevention Day, a simple reminder: you never have to carry a difficult moment alone. 💙
Checking in on someone, listening without judgment, or reaching out for support can make a meaningful difference.
If you or someone you know is thinking about su***de, call or text 9-8-8 anywhere in Canada. Support is available 24/7. If there is immediate danger, call 9-1-1.
Additional mental health resources are available through the Government of Canada, Kids Help Phone and Hope for Wellness. Today, and every day, reach out. Check in. Be kind. 💙

What’s one small way to make a difference in someone’s day? 💙
Sometimes, it’s as simple as letting someone know you’re thinking about them.
We asked our team for their quick answers on kindness, connection and the little things that can make someone feel seen.
