New York - Toronto 🌟🖤🖤🖤

Life is so fascinating. Sometimes we don’t understand what is happening while we’re living it. Then, we look back… and suddenly, the pieces begin to connect.

A year ago, on September 19th, I was strolling down Fifth Avenue in New York - my favourite city - celebrating my 55th birthday.

As I walked past the beautiful windows of some of the most iconic fashion houses in the world, I suddenly stopped in front of a display featuring these old mannequin heads. Something about them completely captivated me. I couldn’t even explain why I paused. There was simply something enchanting about them.

I took a photo and kept walking.

I had absolutely no idea that, one year later, mannequins would become such an important part of my own story.

Fast-forward one year, to the weekend of September 18–19, 2026. I was exhibiting RADICALLY Eclectic at Super Wonder Gallery in Toronto - an immersive world where my art, fashion, styling and storytelling came together. And, of course, mannequins were part of the exhibition.

What makes this even more fascinating is that I didn’t connect the two moments until almost the day of the exhibition.

Finding all those mannequins for the show became one of the most exciting parts of the entire process. I found all of them on Facebook Marketplace, and every time I went to pick one up, I felt like a little kid on a treasure hunt, excited to see what I would find and whether it would be the perfect fit for the world I was creating.

And now, looking back at that photo from Fifth Avenue a year ago, I’m still in awe.

How does something catch our attention long before we understand why?

Maybe life really does leave us little clues along the way.

Maybe the Universe is constantly showing us pieces of the story before we know what the story is.

We just have to be paying enough attention to notice them. 🙌🌟🖤🖤🖤

For many years I collected little offcuts, trims, lace, and forgotten fragments of textiles never really knowing why.

Three years ago, it finally came together.

I started laying these pieces onto canvas, experimenting with textures, shapes, colours, and layers, and discovered a completely new way to use them.

It was a challenging process. I had to figure out every step, often through trial and error, and carefully determine the right order to create each piece and make the finished artwork as refined and flawless as possible.

What started as a collection of little forgotten fragments slowly became something much bigger.

And three years later, I had the opportunity to showcase these works alongside my fashion creations at Super Wonder Gallery as part of RADICALLY Eclectic.

RADICALLY Eclectic came to life for two magical nights at Super Wonder Gallery - and I’m still taking it all in.

A huge shout-out to Christian Aldo, and Courtney Spenc for helping me curate and bring this exhibition to life. I’m so grateful for your support!

One of my favourite parts was getting to talk to every single person who walked through the door and share the stories behind the characters, the mannequins and the artwork.

Seeing people step into my world, ask questions, laugh, connect and discover the stories behind each piece made all those years of creating worth it.

Two nights of art, fashion, theatre, storytelling, laughter and a whole lot of fun.

Last but certainly not least, a very special thank you to Audrey, who was the most perfect Marie Antoinette, time-travelling all the way from Versailles into 2026. 🌹👑
