Xposé 2026 — Call for Entries is now open!

Xposé is one of our favourite moments of the year: a chance for photographers of every kind to share their work on gallery walls, and to celebrate this craft together. We simply didn't want to let a year go by without it.

I'll be candid with you. This year came with a few hurdles. We ran into some unexpected challenges with our venue, which means the window to apply is shorter than usual, and CAPIC's national website is temporarily down for maintenance, so a few links you may have seen elsewhere aren't live just yet. None of that changed how much this exhibition means to us, so we found a way forward, and Xposé 2026 is happening.

That's because community is at the heart of everything CAPIC does. It's a truly special organization, a place where photographers connect, share, and grow together, and Xposé is one of the best expressions of that spirit. Whether you're a longtime member, or picking up your camera with fresh eyes, we would love to see your work on the wall this September.

Xposé 2026 — L'appel à candidatures est maintenant ouvert !

Xposé est l'un de nos moments préférés de l'année : l'occasion pour les photographes de tous horizons de présenter leurs œuvres sur les murs d'une galerie, et de célébrer ensemble cet art. Nous ne voulions tout simplement pas laisser une année s'écouler sans lui.

Je serai franc avec vous. Cette année a comporté quelques défis. Nous avons rencontré des difficultés imprévues avec notre lieu d'exposition, ce qui signifie que la période pour soumettre une candidature est plus courte que d'habitude, et le site Web national de la CAPIC est temporairement hors service pour maintenance, de sorte que certains liens que vous avez pu voir ailleurs ne sont pas encore actifs. Rien de tout cela n'a changé l'importance que revêt cette exposition à nos yeux ; nous avons donc trouvé une solution, et Xposé 2026 aura bel et bien lieu.

C'est que la communauté est au cœur de tout ce que fait la CAPIC. C'est une organisation vraiment exceptionnelle, un lieu où les photographes se rencontrent, partagent, et grandissent ensemble, et Xposé est l'une des plus belles expressions de cet esprit. Que vous soyez membre de longue date, ou que vous preniez votre appareil photo avec un regard neuf, nous serions ravis de voir votre travail sur nos murs en septembre.

New CAPIC Member, Artist Representative Cindee Karnick presents: Irwin Karnick Photography, THE SPIRIT, THE PEOPLE, THE LAND at The Peach Gallery, 722 College St., 3rd floor, Toronto, from April 23 - June 12.
Opening night, April 23 at 6 PM.
Irwin “Ike” Karnick’s work in Portugal and the Azores stands as one of the defining chapters of his six-decade career. Dividing his time between Canada and Portugal, he devoted nearly two decades from the late 1980s until the mid 2000s to photographing the Azores and mainland Portugal. These years produced some of his most poetic work.

CAPIC Toronto photographer Andrew Zimbel created and directed the first ever Art At Home exhibit at the Home Show. You can see it now at Exhibition Place until March 15.
Art At Home features the work of several Canadian photographers including CAPIC members Andrew Zimbel, Hal Roth, Honorary member George Zimbel and CAPIC Legend Ian Campbell.
Other Canadian photographers of note include Walter Borchenko, Richard Johnson, Steven Elphich, Max Lamour and Dimitri Levanoff‘s Image Foundry photographers.
Also present in the show, you will find the Stephen Bulgar Gallery, Liss Gallery, Abbozzo Gallery and Marian Wihak.
