One of my favourite parts of making a quilted jacket — sewing on the bias binding. 🧵
There’s something so satisfying about this step. After all the cutting, piecing, stitching and shaping, the binding is where everything finally comes together and the jacket starts to feel finished.
Slowly made. One stitch at a time.

A custom order with a story already stitched into it. 🪡
These original Canadian issue army bags and camo pants are about to be taken apart, reimagined and transformed into a one-of-one custom chore coat.
I’ll be keeping as much of the original character as possible — the markings, hardware, wear, fading and imperfections that tell you these textiles have already lived a life.
This is exactly what I love about upcycling: not making the old look new, but making the old become something new.
Can’t wait to show you the finished piece.

A little reset before a busy weekend. 🌊
Early morning yoga on the beach, bare feet in the sand, Lake Ontario in front of me and the beautiful R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant behind me. There are definitely worse ways to start the day.
Taking a moment to recharge, clear my head and soak up a little calm before getting back to creating — and getting ready for Sunday’s market. 💙
Sometimes inspiration comes from fabric. Sometimes it comes from slowing down long enough to notice what’s around you.
