Azure Rose

We recently were featured on a blog: Start Track here. The writer talks a little about subway anxiety and I completely relate to that. I’m so glad the song offered a bit of peace to the author.

What was also interesting is that we were compared to Mac Demarco and Real Estate, two artists I’ve never listened to before. I’m always a fan of making musical connections like this and hearing about the connections others make. It’s a wonderful way to discover new music and relate to how music lands with others.

So now I'm going to check out Mac Demarco and Real Estate!

Here’s some new music. It’s available wherever you get your music. It’s a bit more janglepop, but the ‘gazienes is still there. Enjoy the summer vibes!

Villains and Summer Vibes The new single “Villains” is out now and has a jangle-pop summer vibe. A video for the song is available on Bandcamp and will be uploaded to YouTube soon.

Finally we've booked a show! We're thrilled to be playing/hosting the OctoberDAZE festival. We're playing with amazing bands Soft Set and Away Forward and a super secret special guest that you will love. General Chaos will be taking care of the visuals, think 60's liquid oil projections done live. If you've never seen them before you will be amazed - they're pretty wild.

As the show gets closer, I'll write a bit more about the night and the bands, but just making the announcement is a big thing for us. Can't wait for the night!

I know it's summer and no one wants to think of Autumn yet, but the early bird tickets are a steal!

I find more and more I'm listening to Mixcloud rather than "discovery" modes for new music.

I wrote a little round-up on a few of the radio shows/DJs that covered “Lights Come Down" and also posted to Mixcloud, as well as a great podcast that mixes shoegaze and politics (plus a little profanity!). Enjoy!

Not related to this post, but we've got some great news about our first show, next single(s), and an update on the vinyl in the next week.

Mixcloud/Podcast Round Up Streaming and algorithms are fine, but it's nice to have a human touch. The mixcloud sets are great because you can listen to them at your own pace and each episode has a unique style, flow and personality of the DJ.

Thrilled to be part of this compilation that comes out tomorrow. I wrote little bit about our contribution to the compilation and how it came about.

Mind your Mind We're thrilled to be part of the Shore Dive records' Mind your Mind remix compilation. Shore Dive is a fantastic shoegaze label out of Brighton UK. The compilation was set up by our friends Tom Leonard (Manchester) and Shane Speed. I've become friends with Shane over bluesky, he'
