On August 6, Orthodox Christians celebrate the Transfiguration of Christ. At the top of Mount Tobor, Jesus’ face and clothing shone brightly with light before three of his apostles. The Feast of the Transfiguration commemorates the divinity of Christ, revealed by this miracle.

Multifaith Housing Initiative is proud to partner with Alliance to End Homelessness Ottawa for the 2026 Race to End Homelessness.

Over the past several months, our community has walked, volunteered, donated, sponsored, shared our message, and rallied behind a common goal: helping more people have access to safe, affordable housing.

Tomorrow is the final day of Tulipathon 2026.

When the campaign ends, the work continues.

Throughout the year, MHI provides rent subsidies that help tenants remain safely and affordably housed. That support can mean a family doesn't have to choose between paying rent and buying groceries, or that a senior on a fixed income can continue living in the community they call home.

Every Tulipathon donation becomes part of that story. It helps people stay housed, maintain stability, and look ahead with greater confidence.

Seen from Quebec, the two towers are becoming an increasingly visible part of Ottawa's skyline as construction continues on MHI's tenth affordable housing development.

Each construction milestone brings us closer to welcoming the individuals and families who will one day call Odenak home.
