Im so proud of Crew Girl. A highlight of 2025 was three weeks as Director Observer on Ep.3 for the Netflix TV series where I was so privileged to shadow a director I'm so grateful to have learned so much from. Norman Buckley is better director and editor than I will ever be and he performed at a level of craft and kindness that I was in awe of. This show was filled with such talent from top to bottom and I can't thank the producers, showrunner, writers cast and crew and Netflix team enough for welcoming me so warmly - I am a so much richer for the experience. I'm proud of Crew Girl, and proud to be a local Victorian with a heart full of Eagle Pride.

I didn't have a lot of selfies on my phone but that doesn't mean I didn't have a lot of memorable moments. Thank you to the RESO | Racial Equity Screen Office team, Telefilm Canada for having me at their table, my CAPCOM Cohort and all the nice people I met. Let's make film together. P.S. was so humble and funny. I'm a fan for life.

We’re proud to announce the participants selected for RESO’s Canada-Asia Pacific Co-Production Mentorship Lab (CAPCOM), with support from the CMF | FMC and
Creative BC.

CAPCOM is designed to support Canadian producers developing projects with international co-production potential across Asia-Pacific markets. Through mentorship, industry training, and market preparation, participants will strengthen their co-production skills, refine their projects, and build the tools needed to pursue global partnerships.

Over the course of the program, these producers will work with industry professionals and mentors to deepen their understanding of international collaboration, market readiness, and the practical pathways required to bring their projects to an Asia-Pacific market later this year.

My father was the most well read man I'd ever met, but he never had the opportunity to go to university, instead he just read every book he could get his hands on and my parents worked hard in the hopes one day I'd have that opportunity after they immigrated to Canada with nothing. I've skipped all previous grad ceremonies as an adult, until today when I walked across the stage for first time following a Masters in Screenwriting University of Victoria (UVic) I once even accepted a job photographing a convocation ceremony where I was meant to walk the stage as a graduate, instead choosing to happily photograph my classmates crossing from behind my camera. I love learning and hope this is not the last time I'll graduate, but this is likely the first & last time I'll convocate. I'm grateful to all instructors, classmates, mentors, UVic staff, my friends, my film community, my parents and most of all my family who've been patient with the limited braincells I came home with after film, work and school.
