Carly has had some incredibly difficult experiences that I was honoured to create with her.

Facing a horrific death and finding her peace through the tragedy is the essence of this tattoo.

The lower half represents the darker time in her life… bullets piercing through the water and buds, staining the canvass with blood. But there, amongst the chaos standing proud, is a single glowing lotus in full bloom. This was one of my personal favourite parts to create.

Carly showed strength, joy and trust through every part of this tattoo, which really represents the top half. She faced her suffering, where most would have tried to escape and never come back. Showing us the more we can sit in and come to accept, the kinder and more understanding we become. These are our trials that build us up and grow our roots deeper… they are what truly shape us and bring forth an inner beauty that inspires the world.

Thank you for sharing your story and asking me to create it with you Carly, I hope we get to witness it in a documentary one day. You’re a legend.
