Building stronger communities starts with meaningful conversations.

Today, Jason Kipfer had the opportunity to meet with Cambridge Mayor Jan Liggett, to share more about the Locally Connected Community Hub, our growing network, and our commitment to creating more inclusive, safe, and welcoming communities—especially by encouraging greater youth engagement.

The meeting came on the heels of Tuesday's Cambridge Business Connections meetup at ZAZ Bistro, where 65 community members came together to connect, build relationships, and support local.

Thank you, Mayor Liggett, for taking the time to learn more about our mission and the positive impact community connections can have across Cambridge. We look forward to welcoming you to a future Community Hub meetup!

Together, we're strengthening our communities—one connection at a time.

Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦

Today feels like the perfect day to share an exciting milestone for the Locally Connected Community Hub. What started as a series of local networking events in a single Waterloo-based neighbourhood has grown into something much bigger: a community built around connection, collaboration, and supporting the places we call home.

We are excited to share that the Locally Connected Community Hub is now officially registered and will operate as a mission-driven social enterprise.

Our mission is simple: to help strengthen communities by creating opportunities for people to connect, support local businesses, participate in community life, and build meaningful relationships.

Everything we do is guided by four pillars: Live, Work, Play, and Shop Local, because communities aren’t experienced in silos. We live in them, work in them, gather in them, and support them every day.

As we continue to grow, revenues generated through the Community Hub will be reinvested into programming, volunteer coordination, chapter growth, technology, storytelling initiatives, and other community-building activities that help create lasting impacts.

This is an exciting next chapter in our evolution, and we’re just getting started! Keep an eye on your inbox and our social channels over the coming weeks as we share more about the future of the Community Hub and new ways you can get involved.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. We’re looking forward to building stronger communities together.

Happy Canada Day.
