Kenny and I were out in the St. Clair Beach area this morning, and this is what every clean looks like: dust, soap, a glass-safe abrasive, squeegee, then detail. Frames and tracks included, always.

There’s no premium version (this is premium!) or a cheaper version that skips things. There’s just the job, done properly. Look at that reflection.

Kenny and I were in Essex on a window cleaning job with an exterior light fixture add-on. Here’s the part I’ll show you: bulbs out, a soft sponge and microfibre cloths, a careful scrub. Then comes our rinse technique — and that’s the part that turns a dusty, dirty fixture into something that looks brand new.

So clean it looks like a magic trick. 🪄

A little Friday fun for the Princess Bride fans. 🪟 do you work with both hands?

I cleaned the window on my right with my right hand — then turned and cleaned the one on my left with my left. No wasted movement, no reaching across.

Being ambidextrous is genuinely one of the more underrated skills in this work. But mostly today, it was just a good excuse for the joke. 😄

It might look like a mystery — but to us, it’s no puzzle at all. It’s a shipping spacer clip, left on by mistake.

That’s Kenny, spotting one on a window at a home in LaSalle. (Always say hi to Kenny. 👋)

These clips hold the window in place when it’s boxed up and handled for install. Once the window’s in the wall, the clip does nothing. The builder and the post-construction crew just forgot to take it off — and it’s more common than you’d think. You’re left looking at this odd little piece, wondering what it’s for and whether it belongs. Usually it doesn’t.

We notice them, and we remove them for you.

This has nothing to do with cleaning. That’s the point. It’s the level of attention we pay to your home while we’re there.
