A quick, honest take on the current AI hysteria in the music scene:

Watching the recent debates, you’d almost think the music industry was entirely built on hand-played Stradivarius violins and raw authenticity until yesterday. As if ghost vocalists, heavy pitch correction, and terabyte sample packs were never a thing. 😉

I don’t fear AI in music—in fact, I appreciate it as a creative tool. But there is a clear line:

Fully prompted songs are completely pointless to me. Hitting a button and letting an algorithm spit out a finished track has nothing to do with creativity or true musicianship.

At least 95% of my tracks are made entirely by hand. I spend endless nights in the studio, composing melodies, tweaking my trance synths, and turning real k***s. And yes, when a progression hits just right, it still gives me goosebumps—sometimes even a tear. That’s where the soul, passion, and genuine craftsmanship live.

But if I need a subtle vocal phrase for atmosphere, or a quick instrument layer that sounds more natural than digging through a 100 GB sample library: why not use it? To me, it’s simply a modern sampler. A tool to support your vision, never to replace it.

What’s your take on it: an inspiring tool for capturing nuances, or have you sworn off the technology entirely?

It’s absolutely crazy what’s going on at the moment. Over the last 30 days, my songs have been played over 500,000 times and I currently have over 150,000 monthly listeners. Unbelievable.
