📖 This study presents a modular 1:5 scale vehicle testbed for the experimental validation of autonomous driving control strategies. The platform integrates an electric powertrain, IMU–GNSS sensor fusion with an Extended Kalman Filter, and two path-following approaches—the Stanley Controller and Linear Quadratic Regulator. Outdoor experiments demonstrate accurate and repeatable trajectory tracking with both controllers, with the Stanley Controller achieving higher lateral accuracy. The results highlight the proposed testbed as a reliable and flexible platform for benchmarking autonomous vehicle controllers.

📖 This study presents a lightweight electromagnetically actuated valve for altitude control of high-altitude latex balloons. The valve employs a permanent magnet–electromagnet–spring composite structure, integrating electromagnetic and CFD simulations with multidisciplinary optimization. The optimized design achieves a total mass of 984.69 g and an actuation force of 15.263 N while maintaining stable performance from −60 °C to 25 °C, providing a systematically validated solution for valve design in lighter-than-air vehicles.

📖 This study investigates the aerodynamic effects of Gurney flaps of different heights on Darrieus vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs). The results identify the 0.5%c Gurney flap as the optimal configuration, achieving a peak power coefficient of 0.366 at a tip-speed ratio of 2.0, a 3.73% improvement over the baseline, while enhancing low-speed power by 6.30% at a tip-speed ratio of 0.5. These improvements also contribute to enhanced turbine self-starting capability.

📖 This study proposes a 3D terrain risk voxel-based approach for assessing roadway traversability in underground coal mines. By combining an improved dust-filtering method, visual information, and Dempster–Shafer evidence theory, the proposed framework addresses the challenges of noisy LiDAR data and complex three-dimensional tunnel environments. Experiments achieve 96.7% average dust-removal accuracy, while the constructed risk voxels enable quantitative assessment of navigable spaces and roadway accessibility risks.

📖 This study presents a complete coverage path planning method for wall-climbing robots inspecting wind turbine blades, addressing the challenges of complex curved surfaces and energy-efficient operation. The proposed approach integrates 3D point-cloud data, a 2.5D grid map, an energy consumption model, and a bio-inspired neural network (BINN) to optimize robot paths while considering surface geometry, path length, turning costs, and energy consumption. Simulation and prototype experiments demonstrate its potential for efficient and comprehensive automated wind turbine blade inspection.
