Spheres

I nostri percorsi artistici

Spheres was born in 2020 with the intention to explore and promote the contemporary chamber music repertoire written by women composers. After studying in Italian Conservatoires we completed our studies at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana of Lugano. Our artistic careers share the desire to deepen contemporary languages and performances, through composition, electronic music, chamber music and education activities. The idea was born with the desire to support and promote the musical works of women artists, from
different places and cultures, with the aim of giving space to new repertories and creative languages. We think that now more than ever it’s important to tackle gender inequality that still exist in the world of performing arts, where the artistic and professional career of
women is too often made difficult by prejudice and discrimination.
