Mexico is one of those places where food isn’t just something you eat. It’s part of the whole experience.

Street stalls, bustling markets, smoky flavours, fresh ingredients, little local spots you’d never find by accident… and tacos that somehow always seem like a good idea.

On our trip, we eat our way through Mexico City, Oaxaca and Tulum, discovering a different side of Mexican food everywhere we go.

Meet Amanda: a seasoned OWR traveler who booked Colombia before she managed to properly unpack from Morocco (we love that energy 😍).

This trip packs a lot into 10 days.

We’ll kayak alongside penguins at Boulders Beach, cook traditional dishes with locals in Bo-Kaap, and abseil Table Mountain before heading into the vineyards of Stellenbosch.

Then it’s time for the wild stuff: Big Five safari in Kruger National Park, followed by sunset drinks on the Zambezi River and a front-row encounter with Victoria Falls, mist included.

Day 10: Osaka, Our Final Stop 🇯🇵

Our Japan itinerary ends in Osaka, a city that refuses to whisper when it can shout in neon.

We start at Osaka Castle, where stories of shoguns and samurai echo between the ancient walls and modern skyline. Then it’s your time: to wander, snack, and soak up the city’s wild, electric energy.

In the evening, we gather one last time for dinner in Dotonbori, that glowing stretch of canals, sizzling food stalls, and flashing signs that somehow feel like the perfect send-off to Japan.

Central Europe, three cities deep 🇨🇿🇦🇹🇭🇺

Prague, Vienna, and Budapest: three capitals, three very different moods, and one very good excuse to spend a week eating your way through Christmas markets.

Wander through glowing market squares, warm up with mulled w**e, hunt down the best festive treats, and take in each city at its most magical time of year. In between the Christmas lights, there’s plenty of time for thoughtful sightseeing, great food, a private cruise, thermal spas, a cooking class, and a classical concert.

If there’s one thing Mexico has absolutely no interest in being, it’s boring.

The colors are everywhere: bright buildings, painted doors, colorful markets, flowers spilling into the streets, traditional crafts, street art and food that somehow manages to look as good as it tastes.

And on our Mexico trip, we’re going straight into it: exploring Mexico City, soaking up the color and chaos of Oaxaca, and eventually swapping city streets for the beaches of Tulum.

Basically, 10 days of Mexico in full technicolor with plenty of tacos, mezcal and questionable decisions about how many things we can fit into one suitcase.
