Our Great Wave off Kanagawa, cast in epoxy resin. Getting those curves meant making a mold first. Now we can take off the outer casing and peel away the silicone.

From above, it’s just a woman relaxing in a pool. From the side, you see all the hands reaching up beneath her. Someone’s comfort can exist right above someone else’s struggle.

The whales look like they’re floating inside a solid block of resin. We sand and polish every side until the whole scene comes into view.

Static electricity lifts the flock from the table onto the glue-covered branches. Then we paint the tree with an airbrush and add it to the diorama.

These two dioramas are poured at −28°C (−18°F) to keep the large volume of epoxy from overheating and boiling. We then slowly raise the temperature over 7–10 days until the resin fully cures.

Our underwater dinosaurs are almost done. The depth effect comes from epoxy layers with different levels of opacity. Just a few details left.

We built this scale model of the U.S. Capitol dome and added lighting inside. A lot of the interior detail only shows up when the lights come on.
