ACTS - Ten Days In November

Since 2021 ACTS has embraced a wide range of Continuing Education projects as an extension of ACTS- Anglophone-European Collaborative Theatre - founded in 2002, by Professor Stuart Marlow of Stuttgart Media University (HdM). The video-backed stage play features not only the man who was to become England’s first republican dictator, Oliver Cromwell, but historical characters who have rarely, if ever, been represented on either stage or screen: The prototypical Che Guevara, Corporal William Thompson, and torture victim, Anne Warbeton, a courageous Leveller working woman accused of witchcraft. The events at St Mary’s Church, Putney, not only fed into The French Revolution and The American War of Independence, but also found a clear echo in the Occupy Wall Street, and City of London Movements of 2011.
