Harvest isn’t just “the grapes are ripe, let’s pick them.”
For w**emakers, deciding WHEN to pick can be one of the most important decisions they make all year. A few days can make a difference in the acidity, sweetness, fruit flavors and ultimately the style of w**e that ends up in your glass.

Want boutique European w**es delivered to your door every month? Comment CLUB 🍷
Most expats move to Europe and end up drinking the same 3 w**es on repeat from Edeka because they just don’t know where to start.
But inside the Sippers Club, a box of boutique European w**es shows up at your door from w**eries you definitely wouldn’t have discovered on your own.
We’re talking family-run w**eries from across Europe, complete with a virtual tasting where our Pocket Somm Hannah walks you through every sip.
One month you’re sipping a Provence Rosé. The next you’re discovering an Italian grape from Venice you’ve never heard of before.
That’s the fun of being a Sipper. You never quite know what’s coming next, but you know it’s going to be good. 😉

Turns out some of your favorite Provence rosé might start its journey while you’re fast asleep.
In warmer w**e regions like Provence (and California!), w**emakers will sometimes harvest their grapes at night when temperatures are much cooler.
And no, it’s not just because harvesting under the stars looks cool!
Keeping the grapes cool helps preserve those fresh fruit flavors we love and protects them from oxidation + spoilage before they make it to the w**ery.
Night harvesting can be used for all kinds of grapes, but it’s especially helpful when making fresh, fruity whites and rosés where keeping that freshness is KEY.
So the next time you’re sipping a crisp Provence rosé, just know someone may have been out in the vineyard picking those grapes at 2am for you 😉

The number one reason Sippers join the club? W**e night just hits different when your bottle comes with a sommelier.
Have w**e questions you’ve always had but never knew who to ask? This is your kind of night!
Every month, we line up the glasses, prep the snacks, pop the bottles, and sip along with **ewithhannah
It’s the most fun way to learn more about European w**e and discover family-owned w**eries.

There’s nothing wrong with defaulting to red w**e, but it usually means one of two things:
You don’t want to choose the wrong bottle (but you will - a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara is not the same as a Pinot Noir from Germany).
Or you don’t feel like making sense of the entire w**e list just to order a glass.
Hi, I’m Maria, founder of Really Grape. I spent 5 years living in Germany sipping the best bottles. So if you love w**e, keep reading!
When I first moved to Germany, I found myself doing the exact same thing.
Rotwein troken, bitte was my go-to.
And every time I looked around, everyone else was sipping white. So, what do the Germans know that I didn’t?
The wild part is — you can live 30 minutes away from one of the best w**e regions in the world and still feel completely disconnected from it.
🍷 In the Sippers Club:
1. You get 3 somm-selected bottles delivered from across Europe, monthly.
2. You’re tasting alongside a judgment-free community of expats who are feeling the same way you are.
3. You get a sipping guide from Hannah, our Pocket Somm (in English), plus a chat session with w**emakers themselves.
So instead of guessing, you start to understand what you like, why you like it, and how to confidently order w**e — whether you’re at a restaurant, a w**e bar, or in Italy!

If you’ve ever thought, “Where do I even go for good w**e around here?”
I had that exact thought when my family PCS’d to Germany.

As someone who basically drank w**e her whole life (hello, Napa), I assumed it would be easy... and then realized the best w**e events, tastings, and boutique w**eries aren’t always obvious — and definitely not all in one place.
I spent months translating German from papers posted on trees (👀), feeling lost in translation at tastings, finding out about fun events after the fact, or just guessing and hoping for the best.
Now, after years of living in Germany, popping into w**eries and befriending w**emakers, I’ve basically done the digging (and the sipping) for you!
Instead of keeping that knowledge to myself, I write What’s Sippening, a weekly email with w**e walks, festivals, tastings and the best w**e experiences across Germany & Europe that Google won’t help you find.

🚨 PSA: If you’re still serving your red w**e at room temp (aka way too warm), we need to talk. ❌
Just like that “one glass of w**e a day is good for you” rule (which we fully support 😉), not everything you hear about w**e is actually true.
