Over the summer we had a complicated rescue of a cat who had gotten her leg caught on a fence, ultimately resulting in an amputation. It didn't look good for her at first but thanks to the excellent care and attention from Coco Dog Veterinary, she has made an amazing recovery and now acts as if she still has all four legs - she can even jump up onto couches and chase her toys! We named her Sedna and she is now in her loving forever home with Erin Lomax, thank you so much Erin!

Catching up after a busy summer, we have good news to report: Hissy and Pissy have found a home! Thank you Jackie for coming through as their forever family! They are still settling in, slowly being introduced to their new doggy brothers and sisters.

Lucky was also lucky enough to find a new home on island, thank you Lindzey! Her sisters, Pukey and Stubby are still looking for new homes! Please email if you are interested! Their profiles are not yet up on our adoption profile page, but their pictures are below.

We tried out our two resident pit bulls, Tati and Brucie in a new home, but it didn't work out so they are back with us.

Hissy and Pissy are kittens looking for their forever home in either the USA or Canada. They already have a flight companion in June to Washington, DC and they would love to be off to their forever home.

They can be adopted together or separately, depending on what’s best for their future families.

The rescue bird that we are helping has had his wing amputated. We are resharing the content that we posted a couple of days ago. Sadly, we haven't received any donations for his care, we love all animals here at ifatree Rescue and try to help out as much as we can with the community. Donations are greatly appreciated.

New rescue alert! 🚨

Meet our newest rescue: a Yellow‑crowned Night Heron who was rescued after suffering a severe wing injury.

Sadly, the damage is irreversible, and the only way to give this beautiful bird a pain‑free life is a wing amputation. That surgery costs 6,000 pesos, and once recovered, this heron will live with a family for the rest of its life. We have committed to paying for the surgery and assisting with the rescue so any help is appreciated.

Thank you for helping us give this heron the second chance it deserves.

Yellow crowned night herons live in mangroves and wooded swamps and are known locally as Yaboa Común. They are solitary and nocturnal.
