👤 About our speaker:
Dr. Mostafa Hosny brings 19 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design and currently serves as Senior Manager of Analog Design at Si-Vision (a Synopsys Design Partner).

His expertise spans high-speed interfaces, power management ICs, and semiconductor innovation — complemented by a strong commitment to engineering education and mentoring the next generation of IC designers. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Ain Shams University and also serves as Treasurer of the IEEE SSCS Egypt Chapter.

Join us for an insightful talk on "Trends in IC Design" by Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim — exploring where integrated circuit design is heading and what it means for the next generation of engineers.

👤 About our speaker:
Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and brings 20+ years of experience in semiconductor design at Si-Vision (a Synopsys Inc. Design Partner).

A seasoned expert in Integrated Circuits (IC), Digital Design, R&D, digital communication systems (Wireline/Wireless), and Embedded Systems. As Senior Director, he led an engineering team of 70+ members, delivering state-of-the-art digital designs across the full ASIC flow — from concept to silicon. He has collaborated with worldwide technology leaders to deliver hundreds of competitive ASIC IPs, excelling in both performance and quality.

We had the incredible honour of hosting Dr. Mohamed Ismail on campus for a talk that left every single attendee buzzing with energy, reflection, and inspiration.

Dr. Ismail didn’t just give a talk — he gave us a reality check wrapped in wisdom, humour, and genuine care for the next generation of engineers. The room was electric. The questions were endless. The impact? Immeasurable.

We had an amazing time teaming up with the IEEE SSCS Egypt Chapter for a School Outreach visit to the Egyptian American International School.

We spent the day talking to high schoolers about the incredible world of microelectronics, semiconductors, and how they can literally engineer the future. 💡🔌

From discussing how chips power our world to the perks of jumping into a massive global network like IEEE early on, the energy from the ELS students was unmatched.

A massive shoutout and thank you to Dr. Samar Mustafa, Dr. Mostafa Hosny, and Prof. Sameh Ibrahim for making this possible and continuously guiding our branch! 🙌
