Taking place today and tomorrow, this regional consultative meeting brings together African civic leaders to discuss the continent’s role in environmental multilateralism and trade amid a changing geopolitical landscape.

The meeting centers on an important principle:

“𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮’𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮’𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵.”

The initiative brings together organizations including UN Environment Programme, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, WWF, African Wildlife Foundation, CYNESA, Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW) and the Landscape Alliance | CIFOR & ICRAF.

The discussion is particularly relevant for African women and youth working across climate, environment, conservation, policy, civic leadership and sustainable development.
