There's a difference between managing your emotions and actually listening to them. Do you know it?

Most of us were taught to control our emotions – to calm down, stay still, keep it together.

But what if emotions aren't something to manage at all? What if they're signals, pointing us toward what matters, what hurts, and what we're longing for?

On September 30, Paulina Orbitowska-Fernandez, a certified Nonviolent Communication trainer, will lead a webinar exploring exactly this: how to understand and welcome emotions with empathy through the lens of NVC.

Together, we'll look at how to recognize and name feelings, listen to the needs beneath them, stay in contact with ourselves when emotions run high, and move from automatic reaction toward greater awareness and choice.

The session will blend accessible theory with reflection and practical tools you can use both in daily life and in your work with others. No prior NVC experience needed.

În Bucureștiul anilor ’90, un grup de adolescenți pasionați de jocuri pe calculator a instalat rețele improvizate pentru a împărți costul unei singure conexiuni la internet. Trăgând cabluri între blocuri, întingându-le uneori peste drumuri și chiar folosind cartofi pentru a arunca firele de pe un acoperiș pe altul, ei au contribuit la apariția primelor rețele de cartier din România.

Aceste inițiative au conectat comunități întregi, într-o perioadă în care accesul la internet era prea scump. Unii dintre cei implicați atunci au rămas activi în domeniul tehnologic, iar acele rețele improvizate de cartier au pus bazele dezvoltării digitale a României.
