*Awaiting DNA sexing test results

We have some pigeons that could really do with a foster home so they can be more settled while waiting to be adopted. Please get in contact if you are able to help! 😊

Hello everyone!

If you are interested in fostering a rescue pigeon, please see the link below to complete an application form and we will get back to you shortly 😊

We have been putting our microscope to good use - testing for internal parasites 🦠

However, we couldn't help but look at other things up close and decided to share them with you too! 🔬

Of course, we have made it educational as well. Hopefully you learn something new!

Let us know what else you want to see under the microscope... 👀

One of our birds in foster is looking for his forever home! 💚

Purdey Pigeon and Gully Gull are looking for a forever home with a lady pigeon to join their flock. As Purdey had PMV, some pigeon wxpero would be beneficial. Seagull experience not required - Gully is easy to look after. 🤣🕊️

Want to love a dove but cannot currently adopt? Then please consider supporting us with a donation (link also in bio)

Some of you may remember Jasper 🕊️

When he first came to us, he was severely overweight, something we have never seen so far in pigeon rescue. We believe Jasper was originally kept for the purpose of raising babies, never allowed to leave 💔

Well, after safely losing a good amount of weight and receiving treatment for some health issues, Jasper was adopted! He is now living a life of luxury in his new home. His person says that Jasper's personality is developing more every day. He is so chill yet so grumpy (a typical old man). He is loved to pieces 💚

🕊️ WE HAVE THE FUNDS, NOW WE NEED THE SPACE! 🏡

Over the past year, our incredible community has helped us raise the money needed to build a brand-new aviary for our disabled rescue pigeons.

Now, Lucky Wing Rescue is looking for the final, most important piece of the puzzle: Land or garden space! 🌳

We are searching for kind-hearted animal lovers who have some outdoor space and are willing to host and help care for a flock of disabled pigeons. This must be within Scotland or very north England. Ideally around the central belt of Scotland to make transport and logistics easier 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Here is what you need to know:

💰 Fully Funded: We have the money ready to build the aviary.

🤝 Full Support: You won’t be doing this alone! We will provide ongoing support, advice, and guidance. We can also potentially fund food costs for the flock.

🕊️The Residents: These are disabled pigeons who cannot survive in the wild but can live incredibly happy, fulfilled lives in a safe, protected environment.

💚Flexible Setup: We don't just need one massive plot! If multiple people have space for smaller, individual aviaries, that works perfectly for us too.

Whether you have a spacious backyard, a bit of acreage, or a secure plot of land, you could give these vulnerable birds the forever home they deserve.

Can you help, or do you know someone who can?
📩 Please send us a direct message or email us at [email protected] with a little bit about your location and space.

Please share this post to help us spread the word! Let’s find these special birds a permanent home. ✨

We are raising funds to help a corvid rehabber build an aviary for disabled and releasable birds! Any amount at all is greatly appreciated and will give these birds a second chance at life 💜

This poor guy was first reported to us 10 days ago. It took patience and many attempts but Wee Steph Minogue was able to catch him today. He is one very lucky pidge!! 😯

The wooden skewer only went through his skin and didn't injure any more important parts. The body was already healing around the skewer and starting to reject it. ❤️‍🩹

He will be staying with us for a week of antibiotics just to be safe but then he will be returned to his (very well fed) flock! 😊
