The first ever black cab, the classic FX3, left our Coventry factory in 1948. Since then more than 100,000 vehicles have rolled off the production lines and our distinctive, reliable taxis can be seen on the streets of cities and towns around the world. The development of our latest model, the TX4, included more than 1,000,000 miles of specific taxi duty cycle testing and we are confident that no other taxi is as robust as (or can hold residual values as well as) the TX series. And the current London Taxi is the cleanest, most efficient and smoothest cab to drive, ever. And we haven't stopped there - The VN5 Van launched in the summer of 2020. Three variants are available – Business, City and Ultima - with a high level of standard equipment and always with the demands of the user in mind. First impressions of our e-Camper were released in June 2021, so keep an eye out on our channels for more information about that.
Yesterday, the MagicalTaxiTour departed from Canary Wharf with a convoy of 100 TX taxis supported by volunteers, emergency services and support staff.
We helped capture a few moments from an incredible morning – cheers, waves, music and plenty of smiles. It's clear to see the impact this amazing event has on everyone involved. ❤️

The MagicalTaxiTour is back! 🚕✨
Today, families, taxi drivers and volunteers set off from London on an incredible journey to Disneyland Paris.
For 31 years, the Magical Taxi Tour, organised by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, has brought the taxi trade and wider community together to give children with life-threatening conditions a trip they’ll never forget. Since 1995, more than 6,000 children have taken part.
This year’s Tour is particularly special for LEVC too. For the first time, the entire convoy of around 100 taxis is made up of our TX black cab, with every vehicle capable of zero-exhaust-emission driving while offering the very latest in passenger comfort and accessibility.
We’re proud to continue supporting the Magical Taxi Tour and wish everyone setting off today a safe journey and an unforgettable time in Paris. ❤️

Today, we are pleased to confirm that LEVC’s next-generation London taxi will launch in the second half of 2027.
Purpose-built from the ground up and fully engineered to meet London’s Conditions of Fitness, the new taxi will build on everything drivers and passengers value about the current TX, while taking a significant step forward in design, innovation and technology.
Alongside today’s announcement, we’re sharing the first look at the design direction for the next model, with early sketches showing a familiar silhouette that retains the iconic character of the black cab, reimagined for the future.
This marks the beginning of a new era for LEVC — and there is much more to come.

As the teams tee off at this week's LIV Golf UK event, we're looking back to the first ever tournament held in the UK, which saw a fleet of iconic TX taxis transport players around the course.
