Today is international FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) awareness day, the 9th day of the 9th month to emphasise the importance of 9 months alcohol free pregnancies.

Any alcohol exposure during pregnancy can lead to FASD, a range of additional needs that if unrecognised and unsupported as children grow up can lead to significant emotional, behavioural and educational struggles.
