Such a wonderful time making mosaic insect feeders last Friday with Athena Jane Churchill! Our visitors learnt the main techniques of mosaicing and had a tour of the exhibition with a focus on biodiversity 🦋🐛

A busy but super lovely day at The Planetary Lab! 🤩
Two brilliant talks from inspiring local climate scientists (which will be on our YouTube channel soon), lots of amazing sewing creations, and lots of lovely chats with visitors!
Plus our fantastic volunteer and local astro-chemist Eric popped by to chat to visitors in the exoplanet zone! 🪐
Huge thanks to our volunteers this week - our amazing regular volunteers Aaron, Timon, Romy, Esme (who ran this morning's workshop) and Naomi - and thank you so much to our new volunteer Jane who ran this afternoon's workshop! We're so grateful to all our brilliant volunteers that have supported us over the past couple of months!
We have one week left of this exhibition 🥲 come and visit while you can!
🗓️ We're open after school on Tues, Weds and Fri, and have slots available on our final day next Saturday 26th - plus we're running a special biodiversity-themed Toddler Takeover session next Friday morning and a Light-themed Home Ed workshop in the afternoon (check out our events/workshops page).

🪐 Today we have our Teen Takeover session from 4-5:30pm: reduced entry session for 13-18 year-olds only, with snacks, soft drinks, VR - and space science! Just £3/teen.

Abi joined us in July and has been a brilliant addition to our team, helping us get the centre up and running - and welcoming most of our 1500 visitors so far to "launch" them into the space experience! 😍
