MISC FC

Free week for us this weekend so our next match is against Dunoon FC next Sunday 🔵⚪️⚽️

Frustrating day as we give away a 2 goal lead at 3-1 to draw 4-4. Goals from an OG, Chaz and 2 for Tony on his first competitive start. Also a brilliant penalty save and performance from captain for the day James Binnie in goal.

Positives to take, a point in the board and we move on to the next one 🔵⚪️

2-0

⚽️

Start of a new competitive season for us on Sunday as we take on Blackthorn in the RidgeDoc Cup.

Thanks to our sponsors for your support for the season ahead:
match ball sponsor Bowman Rebecchi - The Home of Property
kit sponsor The Malcolm Group
and our charity sponsor Ardgowan Hospice 💜

Competitive action kicks back off on this Sunday as the Ridge Doc Cup takes place. Hoping to continue a good run having won 4 out of the last 5 completed games over the course of pre season 🔵⚪️

Would like to clarify that the match was not ended solely because of the off the ball incident however this was the final straw for the referee after other goings on during the match.

We have the utmost respect for Blackthorn Rovers and do not wish to tarnish their name with the actions of an individual this is not our intention.

We would hope that all teams stand together on the matter.

The remainder of the statement reads factual.

MISC A-A Blackthorn

Whilst we accept that tensions and emotions run high in a football match, one thing we wont accept is racial abuse. Unfortunately 3 of our players were subject to racial abuse from one individual.

We are very proud to have welcomed several young guys to our team who are new to the country, at various points over the last 15 month and at one stage we had no fewer than 9 different nationalities across our squad. These boys are a credit to our team and to themselves, all in work or volunteering making themselves an important part of our community.

Id like to place on record a thanks to other players and staff from Blackthorn who stand beside us on this view.

Racism has no place in football, in our community or in society and we hope that the correct punishment is handed out to the offender in question.
