Hawick Mini Rugby

Our P7s, along with parents, and siblings braved the elements to tackle the Inflatable Insanity obstacle course at Floors Castle yesterday instead of training, a decision made over the summer holidays.

This wasn’t about rugby but something to do together as a team and a family. In their final year of Hawick Minis they are taking opportunities to do things together, culminating in their tour in April.

It looks like they had a great morning on the course and were lucky to go through, as the afternoon sessions were all cancelled.

All the best to Jodie and her family as they take part in the Kiltwalk on the 13th September in support of us, raising money towards new strips.

It’s a family day out as Jodie and her sister walk 21 miles, her other sister and auntie walking 14 miles and Arlo, P5 Mini, is walking 5 miles with his granny and papa - a total of 85 miles between them.

We’re back!!! Was great to see so many kids back at training and loads of adults down watching.

Busy morning today prepping the kit ready for tomorrow morning. There’s always something going on in the background to make Minis run.

Certainly wasn’t a quick task with 84 balls to pump up, bibs and marker cones to sort.

Minis Rugby is Back!

We look forward to welcoming you all back for our first training session of the year.

The session is open to all, so if your younger ones have any friends on the fence, bring them on down!

After 2 years with the Minis, Matt flew off today on the start of his adventure to Australia and New Zealand.

Matt has had a huge influence on the Minis during his time with us. Engaging with the kids at training and festivals, during school coaching sessions and through our rugby camps. He introduced Brunch Club last year which was a huge success and with his work with the Schools has also attracted new children to our Club.

His passion and knowledge for rugby is clearly evident and he’s popular with the kids, getting them involved and enthused about the game we love.

Thank you Matt for everything you have done, we all hope you have a great adventure over the next few months and you will always be welcome with the Minis when you return.
