Help Shorefa's Family Rebuild After a Devastating Fire

On 23 June 2026, Shorefa Khan’s family home in Walworth was struck by lightning during a severe thunderstorm. The lightning strike triggered a devastating fire in the ground floor of their home causing extensive damage.

Alhamdulillah, Shorefa, her husband and their three children were able to escape without physical injury. The family lost furniture, electrical appliances, documents, clothing, treasured possessions and many of their children’s belongings.

13 Rivers Trust are seeking to raise £10,000 to help Shorefa and her family replace what was lost and establish a safe and stable home once again.
