It's World Mental Health Day💙

The theme this year is Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.

Today is an opportunity to talk about mental health, spread awareness and reduce the stigma. Did you know around 40% of deaf people experience mental health issues? It's important that we listen to people's experiences so we can make a real difference.

Our project, Healthy Deaf Minds London, was founded in 2000, aimed at raising the awareness of mental health issues to deaf BSL users.

We're pleased to announce that our next event will be in December!

Stay tuned for more details coming soon 👀

Happy International Translation day 🙌

This year's theme is Linguistic Diversity and Language Rights: The Power of Being Understood.

We interviewed deaf translator, interpreter and consultant, Radha Starr.

We asked why is translation important?

"Whether the information relates to health, education, public services, entertainment or something else, deaf people should have the same opportunity to understand and engage with it as everyone else."
