The Double R Club, an evening of ‘damn fine’ lynchian cabaret and burlesque
Welcome to the Double R Club (est. 2009), an evening of mystery and nightmares played out to an otherworldly rock ‘n’ roll soundscape. WINNER: Best ongoing production, London Cabaret Awards 2012 & 2013
WINNER: Club/Event, Erotic Awards 2013
RUNNER UP: Best Compere, London Cabaret Awards 2012 & 2013
Expect an absurdist and darkly surreal cocktail of "Damn fine" Lynchian Cabaret, bolstered by twisted rock ‘n’ roll, slow sinister jazz and wailing junk-blues. Influenced by the world of maverick film director David Lynch, the Double R brings you an unparalleled evening of sex, smoke and strobe, from the finger-clicking jazz ambience of cult TV show Twin Peaks, to the bizarre monochrome machine world of Eraserhead; from the dark underbelly of Mulholland Drive, to the surreal small town madness of Blue Velvet. The Double R re-imagines these worlds and takes them further, to glamorously seedy nights both magical and debauched, frightening and perplexing, but always entertaining… See murdered prom queen burlesque, sinister re-workings of classic 50s tunes, cabaret "from another place", comedy, live music; all served with "Damn fine" cherry pie and a cup of coffee, "Black, like midnight on a moonless night..."

Remember if someone wants to sell you their ‘extra’ ticket - don’t buy from a stranger - it’s likely a scam!
We have a few tickets on the door - otherwise buy for October!
