My favourite events with a brilliant selection of independent brands and designers. I’m really proud to be a part of these. All local, all championing sustainable design AND I get to be home in time for dinner with my family. 😊

Three days of speaking with both existing and new retailers. This was .design fourth time exhibiting at and every season it feels like a masterclass in understanding retail and consumer spending habits but most importantly learning specifically about Pru’s customers and our brilliant retailers who are taking the risk to sell our products in such a difficult economic climate. This event has become as much about listening and learning as it is about taking orders.
I learn what sells, what moves more slowly and, most importantly, why - Influences over location, average spend, profit margins, where Pru fits within ethical and sustainability values, which other brands Pru is aligned with and the products, colours and styles people are buying. I also learn that I can’t please everyone, which has taken me a while to realise that’s ok too!
I feel there has also been a noticeable difference over the last year with conversations around sustainability and transparency with production - Every single retailer asked me what each product is was made of, where they are produced and why it costs what it does. There was also much more interest in my relationship with my manufactures which I could speak about all day!
I feel like a student again with the amount I am learning and absolutely love it!

A few stills from our AW26 launch at Top Drawer London last week.
Still utterly exhausted from the months of prep leading up to this and so many things to now consider and plan but I could not be happier! ☺️
A week since we exhibited at and I can not begin to express how grateful, excited and if I’m being totally honest, how overwhelmed I am feeling!
Pru launched X9 new product lines and X56 new colourways across the collection this season. I’ve spent the last 20 years presenting collections for other brands, but nothing quite prepares you for the nerves when it’s your own. By the time the show opened, I ‘think’ I liked the collection, but I had been looking at it for so many months on my own I had lost all judgment. However, what I wasn’t prepared for was the sheer volume of orders and the incredible energy and excitement from new and existing customers. I sold out of three collections at the show which I thought were going to last me until February next year!
I’m very much finding my feet with all this and hugely learning on the job, though am feeling endlessly grateful (and very relieved!!) Thank you! ☺️

I am so proud to introduce Pru’s first-ever collection of 100% cotton Velvet Quilts!
Velvet quilts have been on my wish list for Pru ever since I launched the brand. I have been working very hard behind the scenes for the last year developing these and I’m incredibly excited to finally share them with you!
Designed to complement our velvet cushions, this collection celebrates generations of traditional craftsmanship, small-scale production and the beauty of slow, considered making.
Each quilt is handmade by our incredibly skilled partners in India and beautifully finished with traditional hand-stitched Kantha quilting.
The collection will be previewing this weekend at Top Drawer London with delivery expected at the end of September when the quilts will also launch on our website.
Available in three beautiful shades: Petrol Blue, Sage Green and Terracotta.

This season our collection moves into a richer, earthier palette, bringing together subtle textures, patterns and harmonising hues while remaining firmly rooted in sustainable design, skilled craftsmanship and small batch production.
We’ve had a really busy few months! This season’s new launches include:
* Linen tablecloths and runners, designed to complement our existing napkins and tea towels.
* Four new cushion collections focusing on versatile styling with mix & match hues and textures.
* Our first ever bespoke linen gingham collection woven exclusively for Pru.
* Two new quilt collections.
* New colourways of our bestselling pouch bags.
* A luxurious new velvet collection featuring hand-stitched quilts and cushions.
* Our first ever tote bag design, which I am especially excited to share with you!

Our final tote bag samples have arrived just in time for Top Drawer London!
These are the first shoulder bags I have designed and I’m so pleased with them! Made from 100% OEKO-TEX certified French linen, each bag is fully lined and finished with wrap around shoulder straps and a really useful zipped internal pocket.
Pre launching next weekend at Top Drawer London, with delivery expected end of October when they will also be launching on my website.

Bring your daughter to work day!
I visited one of my UK manufacturers with my daughter last month. I decided to embrace the school summer holiday juggle and absolutely loved it!
I’ve always loved factory visits. When I worked in the fashion industry as Creative Director I was abroad nearly every month over seeing bulk printing and collection production.
I’ve worked with some of my suppliers for over 20 years now. Since I launched Pru on my own they are even more important me than ever. Their advice and support is invaluable and they also remind me that I’m part of a larger team and that I’m not doing this alone which is a huge relief!
I came back full of inspiration and possibilities for the next season and also a comment from my daughter that she’d like to join Pru when she’s older! 🥹
