The scream? Earned. đđ»
Because the school run was never one task.
Itâs about forty tiny ones stacked into a window you canât feel passing and it asks for the exact three things an ADHD brain finds hardest, all at the same time.
First, time doesnât feel like itâs moving. Youâre not being slow on purpose; there really is âloads of time,â and then out of nowhere itâs âweâre going to be late,â with nothing in between to warn you.
Then thereâs everything youâre holding in your head at once.
The bags, the water bottles, the form thatâs due back, your own keys, the thing one of them needs specially today.
And every little interruption, a question, a spilled bowl. wipes it clean, so you walk into the kitchen and canât remember why you went in.
So by the time youâve dropped them off, youâve made a full dayâs worth of decisions and it isnât even nine.
Of course youâre screaming.

I know you feel like youâre failing.
But youâre not.
Youâre masking, youâre overwhelmed, youâre exhausted from fighting your brain all day.
Youâre avoiding friends because one weekend of socialising drains you, and you cry over tiny things because they feel huge.
Thatâs ADHD. Not a failure.
Save this for when you need a reminder. đ
