Winter and I had a busy day yesterday. She had 10 babies absolutely text book and I noticed she was struggling with the 11th so off to our fantastic out of hours vets who administered an injection of oxytocin this brought the final puppy within 5 mins but sadly was stillborn, the vets did try everything.
Winter and her 10 beautiful babies are all doing well today 🥰🤎🖤🐾

Nature never ceases to amaze me. ❤️

From the very moment of fertilisation, through pregnancy, birth and the first precious days of life, there is something truly incredible happening.

A mum instinctively knows what to do, even though she has never done it before. She knows to clean her babies, nurture them, keep them close and care for them. The babies themselves — born with their eyes closed, yet somehow knowing exactly how to find mum and suckle.

With a large litter, There seems to be a natural rhythm — some babies feed while others sleep, and then they swap. Each one finding its place and getting what it needs.

I can sit and watch it all for hours. Even after seeing it time and time again, it still fascinates me 🐾
