Something very different for the next few days!
The Risk Academy have supported the Pilgrim Bandits Charity for many years. Every year we support the Pilgrims with a charity bike ride from the Hook of Holland to Arnhem. This year we have already cycled over 120kms. This is no ordinary bike ride we also have a number of disabled riders on adaptive tandem bikes. This is a great for us to support a great charity and give our disabled veterans a great weekend.

Spoiler: it’s not nothing. It takes sharp feet, sharper timing, and students who genuinely throw themselves into it (with a fair few laughs along the way).
Vehicle-to-vehicle transfers, moving the client to and from the car under pressure — it’s one of the sessions our Close Protection students come away buzzing from every single time.

This skill is taken very seriously on our Close Protection Course.
Nog, our in house medical specialist is a fountain of knowledge. One of his many talents is the ability to explain this sometimes tricky topic in away which everyone understands.
He started his military career in the Parachute Regiment and ended in the Royal Army Medial Corps as a clinical specialist supporting surgeons.
He is his weight in gold and our students often talk about his lessons well after they have left the course.
Just so be clear Nog isn’t lying on the floor, he is at the front of the class talking about hearts and stuff.
