So today our beloved Sulcata Tortoise Morkey helped his "new cousin" settle in on his first full day in his new home and showed him how to become a spoiled prince 🤣.

Yoda is a 15 year old Sulcata Tortoise just like Morkey. He now has a huge garden and a nice pimped out warm bedding area indoors. His new owner has spent the last year with us being exposed to how we care for Morkey and we are so confident that Yoda will be happy and a great family addition to his new home. Yoda responds to his name and was already comfortable enough to take himself outside to bask in the late summer sun.

You will be seeing more of Yoda in future posts as we are close with his new parents.

This is why we do what we do. The animal is happy and the family who have welcomed him in are beyond ecstatic!!!

Just a previously dumped, unloved and neglected Turtle doing what he should of always been doing. Which is chilling out under a hot light, uvb/uva spectrum after filling his tummy on the right types of food.

This is Chilli 🌶 our gorgeous Red Eared Slider Male.

With all this rain we know this boy is missing his sun. We aren't though as we know he needs his grass 😅😅

We are sorry for the lack updates WE ARE STILL ACTIVE and going. We have a few rehomes to loving new homes. We have just been keeping low due to personal growth and getting outside with every animal we can this summer and be present for them. To enrich and fulfill their lives is our goal.

We will regularly update again soon come the fall season but for now we are making memories with every baby we have. Stay safe in this heat, make sure your animals can regulate their temperature safely.

- Charity Fundraising Trips: Paddling to raise funds for impactful local and national charities.

Heres a little life update from us here at the rescue. We've been focusing on also now bringing the wild into our lives just that little bit more by giving shelter in out garden to the native species of birds and invertebrates. Ofcourse we have some beautiful shots of our scaly babies too.

Life has thrown us some curveballs of late but our sole focus has been and always be the animals.

We may not have space nor reply quickly as we'd like but we are still here. Doing our thing and helping the wild world thrive !!!!

Today our dry land babies and one terrestrial turtle have Chinese Leaf Lettuce, Romaine, Mint and other herbs with Aubergine. Garnished with dry hibiscus, powdered hay and tortoise pellets with bee pollen 🥰🥰🥰

This is Chilli, the male Red Eared Slider that was found crossing a road and clearly been in the "wild" for awhile after being dumped be his previous owners. He has been quarantined and cleaned off with a small course of antibiotics.

This is him tonight in his new home, it looks like this is deepest sleep he's had in a LONG TIME. In clean, temperature controlled water. Not having to fight to stay warm or survive !!! He can now finally thrive and be spoilt with the rest of the rescue and live a carefree life.

This is exactly why we do this, to ensure these animals get the best care 💙
