Tighter doesn’t always mean stronger. 🎣

Over-crimping can damage your leader material, while under-crimping can leave a connection that slips under pressure.

The key is controlled, consistent compression.

Before your rig goes into use, check:

✓ The right crimp size
✓ Correct positioning
✓ Consistent pressure
✓ The finished connection

Too much pressure can damage the leader material inside the crimp. Too little pressure and the connection may slip when it comes under load.

Getting it right is about controlled, consistent compression - not simply squeezing as hard as possible.

A few things worth checking when rigging:

🎣 Are you using the correct crimp size for your leader?
🎣 Is the crimp properly positioned?
🎣 Are you applying consistent pressure?
🎣 Have you checked the finished connection before using it?
